GARTER ST (back and forth on needle):

K all rows. 1 ridge = K2 rows.

* K 1 round and P 1 round *, repeat from *-*. 1 ridge = 2 rounds.

INCREASE TIP:
(1 YO = 1 st inc) On next round K YO twisted (i.e. work in back loop of st instead of front) to avoid holes.

DOMINO (= 2 squares):
Row 1 (= WS): K all sts.
Row 2 (= RS): K until rst marker, 1 YO, K 1 (= st with marker), 1 YO, K until next marker, 1 YO, K 1 (= st with
marker), 1 YO, K the rest of row.
Repeat 1st and 2nd row, i.e. inc 1 st on each side of every marker every other row (= 4 sts inc). On next row
K YO twisted, i.e. work in back loop of st instead of front, to avoid holes.

SLIPPER:
Work back and forth from heel, then work in the round for toe. The entire slipper is worked in GARTER ST -
see explanation above.

Cast on 6 sts on needle size 5 mm / US 8 with 1 thread Big Fabel or 2 threads Fabel(let the yarn end be
approx. 20 cm / 8''; used for assembly). Work 1st row as follows: * K 1, 1 YO *, repeat from *-* 1 more time,
K 2, * 1 YO, K 1 *, repeat from *-* 1 more time - READ INCREASE TIP = 10 sts. Then work DOMINO see
explanation above AT THE SAME TIME on rst row insert 2 markers as follows: 1 marker in 3rd st and 1
marker in 8th st. REMEMBER THE GAUGE!
When piece measures 9-9-10-11-12 cm / 3"-3 3/4"-4 1/4"-4"-4 7/8" vertically, work next row from
RS as follows: bind o all sts before rst marker + bind o st with marker and 1 st after marker, on next row
bind o all sts before next marker + bind o st with marker and 1 st after marker = approx. 34-36-38-42-46
sts remain on needle for foot.
From here work in GARTER ST in the round on double pointed needles - see explanation above, AT THE
SAME TIME adjust no of sts to 28-30-32-36-40 on 1st round. When piece measures 16-18-19-22-25 cm /
6 1/4"-7"-7 3/4"-8 7/8"-10", adjust so that next round is worked K, dec 2 sts evenly = 26-28-30-34-38 sts. P 1
round. Dec 4 sts evenly in next round = 22-24-26-30-34 sts. P 1 round. Dec 4-6-4-5-6 sts evenly in next round
= 18-18-22-25-28 sts. P 1 round. Dec 6-6-5-5-6 sts evenly in next round = 12-12-17-20-22 sts. P 1 round. Then
continue as follows in each size:
Size 13- 5/6: K all sts tog 2 by 2 = 6 sts.
Size 7/9-9/10 -11/13: Dec 5-6-8 sts evenly in next round = 12-14-14 sts. P 1 round. K all sts tog 2 by 2 =
6-7-7 sts.
Piece measures approx. 19-21-23-26-29 cm / 7"-8 1/4"-9"-10 1/4"-11". Cut the yarn and pull it through the
remaining sts, tighten tog and fasten. Knit another slipper the same way.

ASSEMBLY:
Fold the sides of domino squares tog and sew mid back in outer loops of edge sts to make the seam at.
