Item 1 - Magnetic Levitation - Reliable Launch Technology TRT - 7:00

Synopsis: NASA engineers are developing new technology called the Magnetic
Levitation launch system that will be less expensive, safer and a more reliable
means of launching spacecraft. The launch system uses a roller-coaster-like
track that will catapult the vehicle at 600 mph before it lifts off into orbit.

Item 2 - Hubble Heritage Marks One Year TRT: 1:00

Synopsis: The following four Hubble Space Telescope images are of nebulae
surrounding stars in our Milky Way galaxy. Two show interstellar gas and dust
around young stars, and two more show gas ejected from old stars nearing the end
of their lives.

(1) HH32-a Herbig-Haro object, formed when young stars eject jets of material
back into space. (2) PR99-36, Hubble's variable nebula, with a fan-shaped cloud
of gas and dust illuminated by a bright star. (3) NGC 2346, a planetary nebula,
ejected from Sun-like stars near the end of their lives. (4) NGC 2440, another
planetary nebula, but much more chaotic than (3). Its central star is one of the
hottest known.
This month marks the one year anniversary of the Hubble Heritage program,
designed to showcase the most beautiful photos taken by Hubble.
