FACILITATE LEARNING SESSION SCRIPT

TRAINER WILL CHECK FIRST THE TRAINING VENUE AND MAKE SURE THAT THE
LABORATORY IS EQUIPPED WITH THE TOOLS AND PROPERLY LABELLED.

TRAINER WILL INSTALL THE ELECTRONIC MEDIA NEEDED IN THE TRAINING.

TRAINEES WILL ENTER THE TRAINING VENUE.

1. ACKNOWLEDGE THE PRESENCE OF THE ASSESSORS AND TRAINEES


TR: Good afternoon assessors and trainees. Before we start, please stand for an opening
prayer.

2. SUBMISSION OF ADMISSION SLIP


TR: Before we proceed, please submit first your admission slip.
TE: (Trainees will submit the admission slip.)

3. INTRODUCTION
TR: Once again, good afternoon everyone, welcome to Sta. Cruz National High School. This
is an assessment center also. By the way, Im Darell Kim P. Cervantes, your trainer for
this qualification Computer Systems Servicing NC II.
TR: By the way, thank you for enrolling here with us. Rest assured that we will give you
effective and efficient competency-based training.
TR: The purpose of this training is for you to acquire the needed knowledge, skills and
attitude in CSS.

4. PARTNER INDUSTRY
TR: After your training, we will send you to our partner industry- the Greenware with
MOA.

5. SCHOOL POLICIES
TR: Since you are enrolled in this institution, you are obliged to follow the school policies
being implemented. These are the following:

6. GRADING SYSTEM
TR: In this institution, we have this grading system:

TR: Since it is a competency-based training, you are evaluated in oral, written and actual
demonstration. So, please dont hesitate to ask questions if you have clarifications.

7. COMPETENCY-BASED TRAINING SYSTEM


TR: So now, let us first define competency-based training system. So, Competency-Based

8. DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TRADITIONAL AND COMPETENCY-BASED
TR: Okey, so now let us differentiate the traditional and competency-based training. So in

9. TEN BASIC PRINCIPLES OF CBT SYSTEM


TR: In a Competency-Based TVET System, there are 10 basic principles that need to be
considered. These principles are the following : (Refer to Powerpoint)

10. NINE (9) CBT COMPONENT


TR: In like manner, a CBT System has nine components which you have observed inside
this training venue. The 9 CBT Components are the following
Learning Resource Area- which houses the CBLM, session plan, training matrix,
monitoring tools and other learning resources.
Contextual Learning Area- which ensures that the underpinning knowledge,
science, mathematics and communication principles as applied to the technology are
provided to the trainees.
Trainers Resource Area- where you can find the Training Regulations, CBC and
other curricular exemplars.
Quality Control Area- where the finished products are to be checked in compliance
of the quality standards.
Support Service Area- which provide value-adding competencies.
Computer Area- where you can browse information related to FBS as well as gain
IT competencies.
Distance Learning Area- an area for training provision outside or away from the
training institution, it may be in a form of print and non-print media.
Practical work Area as well as Institutional Assessment Area- where you can get
the knowledge and skills needed in your qualifications which is composed of 3 working
stations.

11. WHAT IS COMPETENCY?


TR: So now, let us define competency. Competency is (refer to powerpoint)

12. CSS UNIT OF COMPETENCIES


TR: This qualification- Computer Systems Servicing is composed of 3 competencies. We
have the Basic which is good for 18 Hours the Common which is also good for 18
Hours
TR: Both the Basic and Common Competencies are to be integrated in the discussion of
Core competencies such as Install Computer Systems, Set-up Network System, Set-up
Access Server, Maintain and Repair Computer System which is good for 320 Hours.

13. FOUR DIMENSIONS OF COMPETENCY


TR: In this training, we will observe the Four Dimensions of Competency. These
dimensions are the following:
Task Skills
Task Management Skills
Contingency Management Skills
Job/Role Environment Skills

14. MONITORING TOOLS
TR: In this training, we utilize these monitoring tools to record your accomplishment.
These monitoring tools are the following:
Progress Chart- where we will record your accomplishment in every learning
outcome
Achievement Chart- where we will record your accomplishment in every
activity/output

15. ROLE OF TRAINER/TRAINEE


TR: To have a smooth relationship with each other, we will identify my role as the trainer.
So my role are the following (refer to powerpoint)

16. LABORATORY POLICIES


TR: While inside this training venue, we must observed certain policies. These policies are
the following (refer to powerpoint)
TR: In case of fire, fire extinguishers are installed inside the laboratory and the fire exit is
properly labelled.

17. GIVING OF HANDBOOK


TR: So now, I will give you this handbook to have an additional information regarding on
the institution and laboratorys policies.

18. PRE-TEST
TR: At this time, I will give you a pre-test to recognize your prior learning on CSS as well
as to determine your characteristics and learning styles.
TR: Please read the direction, and I will give you 10 minutes to answer the test.

19. FEEDBACKING
TR: Time is up! Kindly submit your papers and I will check and evaluate your answer.
TR: Based on the result of your Pre-test, _________________________ you got the highest
score, 19 over 20. Therefore, I will send you to the Learning Resource Area and try to read
the CBLM, answer the self-checks and do the task sheets as required. For ____________,
you got 15 over 20 which means that you have prior knowledge in CSS. Therefore, I will
send you to the computer area and browse other information related to CSS. And for you
Angela, the results shows that you do not have prior knowledge in CSS since you only got
1 over 20. Therefore, I will send you to the practical work area and I will discuss and
demonstrate to you the needed knowledge and skills in CSS.
TR: Okey, everybody, proceed to your respective areas.

20. TRAINERS DEMONSTRATION


TR: Okey ___________, this session we will discuss this topic- Parts of the Motherboard
(Assemble computer hardware) which is a learning outcome under the competency- Install
Computer Systems and Networks.
TR: In this topic, we will be acquainted with the parts of the motherboard. Some of the
common parts are the following (refer to powerpoint)

21. TRAINEES WILL DO PRACTICE
TR: Okey, so now Angela, it is your time to do your practice and please be prepared for
your return demo afterwards, while I will be roaming around to check the other trainees.

TR: Okey, everybody, please return to your seats while Angela will conduct her return
demo in identifying the parts of the motherboard.

the results of your performance indicates that you are ready for the institutional
assessment.
TR: So, tomorrow we will conduct your institutional assessment. Please dont forget to
bring your PPE for your practicum.

27. ASSIGNING OF WORKING STATIONS


TR: Ok, _________________________ you will be assigned in Working Station #1 and do the

________________ and Angela, you will be assigned in Working Station #3 and do the

TR: I will give you 2 hours to accomplish the entire task. Therefore, there will be 20

28. ACTUAL INSTITUTIONAL ASSESSMENT

29. RECORDING IN PROGRESS CHART


TR: Time is up. Please return to your seats.
TR: Based on the results of your performance, it shows that you already acquired the
skills. Therefore, I will record this accomplishment in the Progress Chart.

30. POST TEST


TR: Ok, so this time, I will administer a post test to you. This will determine if you really
have the knowledge and skills needed in CSS NC II.
TR: This test is good for 20 minutes only.
TR: Time is up. Please pass your paper and I will check and evaluate your answer.

31. FEEDBACKING
TR: Based on the result gathered during youre actual performance and post test, it shows
that you really have now the knowledge and skills needed in CSS. This is an indication
that you are now ready for the national assessment next month.

32. REQUIREMENTS FOR NATIONAL ASSESSMENT


TR: For your National Assessment which will be done next month, kindly prepare the
following:
Accomplished Application Form
500 Pesos for the Assessment Fee
2 Pcs. Passport Size ID Picture with White Background and collar shirt
NSO Birth Certificate
TR: Do you have further questions?

33. ENDING
