INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE DEFENSE PROPER:
1. Please follow the format for the write-up: font: Arial size 12, double
spaced.
2. Each member should accomplish the student evaluation form and the grade form
(for each group)below. Submit the forms to the PROMOTER before scheduling
the defense.
3. Defense for ChE will start on November 24, 2016. Each group should make
arrangement/reservations for the room to be used. Please coordinate with the
checker/department head regarding the matter ahead of time and inform the
promoter, panel members and UGRC before the defense.
4. Please provide the promoter, the panel members and the UGRC with the
complete write-up THREE working days before the date of defense. These
proposals should be placed in a folder and duly indorsed by the promoter.
5. Arrangement or set up should be done at least 10 mins. Before the defense
proper.
6. Order of Defense Proper:
***Opening Prayer
***Power Point Presentation (max. of 15 mins only)
***Oral Defense/ Clarification (max. of 30 mins)
Note: avoid wordy slides, use keyword only, show pictures/figures, minimum
font size for presentation is 24.
7. Each member should be in corporate attire
8. Each member should have a copy of the write-up for easy reference
9. Please assign one member to take note of the comments and suggestions of the
panel.
10. For sample proposal, please see UGRCs. NOTE: GROUPS WHO WONT BE ABLE
TO DEFEND THEIR RESEARCH PROPOSALS BY DECEMBER 10 WILL GET A GRADE OF INC.
