The study aimed to determine health officer behavior in using stethoscopes to prevent nosocomial infections in the medical treatment room at RSUD dr. Slamet Garut hospital. A descriptive study examined the behaviors of 62 health workers, including 59 nurses and 4 doctors, finding that most respondents (79%) exhibited less-than-adequate behaviors while a small percentage (21%) demonstrated adequate behaviors for prevention. Increased prevention efforts are still needed.
