INTRODUCTION
The following are the most recent changes and
additions of halaal certified establishments in Trinidad and
Tobago. The Darul Uloom Halaal Committee strives its
best to ensure that certified places uphold the standards
associated with the halaal certification. At the same time,
the DUHC advises members of the Muslim community to
contact the Committee if they observe any violation of the
halaal standards committed by these establishments.
Darul Uloom has established strict standards in
halaal certification and accepts only non-stunned, hand
slaughtered poultry and hand slaughtered meats, both
local and foreign with verified halaal certification. We check
every single ingredient used in the preparation of meals
and monitor certified outlets diligently. Other local certifying
bodies may have more relaxed procedures and standards
which brings about doubts in the foods being properly
halaal.

We remind you to be vigilant in purchasing products

and pharmaceuticals, as some contain non-permissible
ingredients. During this period, there are many occasions
where caterers provide meals and desserts for work-

related functions. These may contain non permissible
ingredients or there may be contamination, so be cautious.
