VIII. PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Strategies:
1. Conduct activities that are based on a team building module designed to be highly interactive and
participatory, using a combination of techniques including role-plays, small group exercises, large group
discussions, and individual reflection.
2. Provide interactive exercises comprised of sessions which will guide the participants through concepts
and models of team strengthening, as well as practically applying those concepts internally.
3. Offer a range of activities that will allow the students to generate small wins and learn from experience.
Driven by passion to initiate Culture of Dynamics which is essentially anchored in instilling
meaningful engagement and profound appreciation among students, the Arts and Sciences Students
Association (ASSA) is organizing an activity, AS Inter-Individual Formative Workshop with the theme of
Forging a Dynamic Community of Students. The activity is an interactive course that is specifically
structured to provide comprehensive workshop on teambuilding and conflict resolution. Participants will
be able to use the practical exercises, tools, and resources both during and after the activity to improve
their internal teamwork. The formative activity highlights three critical elements in creating a group of high-
performing students i.e. 1) appreciation of individual differences 2) collaborative communication and 3)
conflict resolution. Moreover, it is based on a team building module that is organized along a progression
of sessions that increasingly focus on the individual and collective formation of the students. The activity
contains a balance of theoretical material such as lectures which subsequently provides opportunities for
reflecting on their application thru interactive exercises. It also introduces a model for understanding
individual perspectives of team members. In addition, the activity is also comprised of skill-building sessions
that aim to strengthen interpersonal relations within teams through collaborative communication and
conflict management. Finally, students are then expected to bring all these threads together by assessing
its own team development, developing principles and behaviors for supporting high performance, and
designing a plan for strengthening its interactions, all for the realization of the ultimate goal of the activity
a dynamic community of students.
