individuals and groups and return to the intent of our charter and operate as a Swiss Park, this

LOOKING FOR SWISS JACKETS: Anyone who has a Swiss Jacket that is no longer
used or no longer fits, and would consider selling (or donating) it to the SSCT/SSTplease con-
tact Willy Schatz or Walt Fischlin. The two clubs want to have some jackets on hand for use at
funerals, etc.

SARY LUNCHEON/MAKE-IT AND TAKE-IT EX-
TRAVAGANZA #2 sponsored by the SLS. This event
is the Main Hall and catered. A no-host bar will open
at 12:30 p.m. and lunch served at 1:30
p.m. The cost of lunch for SLS mem-
bers is free. Guests will be charged
$15.00 per person. (Please note: The
SST pays for their members who at-
tend). No-shows will be billed the
cost of meals (member or no). Any-
one who arrives without a reservation

Dinner will be served and includes salad, Rippli
(smoked pork loin), sauerkraut, potatoes, vegetable,
roll and dessert for $18.00 per adult, $9.00 for chil-
dren 12 and under. A no-host bar will be open. Din-
ner is served from 5:307:00 p.m. followed by a con-
cert featuring the Enzian Swiss Ladies Choir (ESLC)
with basket bummel with dancing afterwards to Swiss

YOUR CLUBS NEED YOUR INVOLVEMENT!
We would welcome members old and new to come
out to meetings and take part in the decisions your
clubs make each month. Meetings are a good way
to socialize and get to know other members, some of
whom are at every meeting month in, month out. We
know every member cant make every meeting, eve-
ry month. Some members live further awaybut
why not review the calendar and mark a month, or
two, in the future you can and will attend, and follow
through. Thank you.

The SST mourn the loss of their member
Hans Meier of Tacoma, WA.
What a fantastic Tacoma Schwingfest weekend!
Once again, our tradition and heritage produced
a memorable weekend with friends and fami-
ly. Its incredible to have such an event that indi-
viduals look forward to from near and far. The
weather was perfect, the Park never looked bet-
ter, we had great Schwinging, music and attend-
ance. It was simply a wonderful weekend and
event!
A very special thanks to all that attended. Espe-
cially, to all of you that put in countless hours to
make this event enjoyable for everyone. From
the beauty of our Park and to all that helped with
serving and cleaning. Trying to list all the indi-
viduals to thank would be impossible, collectively
the efforts were seen and heard. Our compli-
ments we received, are because of the efforts of
all of you.
We now get ready in preparing for our 90th Anni-
versary next year in 2018. Please give us your
suggestions for this epic event. By attending our
general meetings and continuing your volunteer-
ing to the club will make this yet another great
memorable Schwingfest in 2018.

SWISS SOCIETY OF TACOMA (SST):

A Benevolent Society for males bearing a Swiss surname. Life Member (age 1660 YRS) $200.00, (age 61 &
over) $350.00.

SWISS ENZIAN LADIES CHOIR (SELC):

Any woman interested in Swiss song is eligible to join. The meetings are every Monday in the months of Septem-
berNovember and MarchMay.

SWISS SPORTSMENS CLUB OF TACOMA (SSCT):

A private Sportsmans Club (Schwinging, Shooting, Hiking, and other things) for males of either Swiss decent or
married to a Swiss Miss. SSCT Members are eligible to join the Mannherchor. Life Member: (age 18 YRS &
older) $300.00, Junior Member (age 617 YRS) $100.00, and $200.00 due at age 18.

SWISS LADIES SOCIETY, HELVETIA (SLS):

A Benevolent Society for Women of Swiss decent or married to a Swiss male. Life Member: (age 12 & over)
$100.00.

SWISS RELIEF SOCIETY, HILFSVEREIN (SRS):

Regardless of any other Swiss Club affiliation, or not, every Swiss living in the Puget Sound Region is a member
of the SRS. The SRS provides assistance to those in need. You may request an application from any Board Mem-
ber listed on Page 3 if you need assistance, or know of another Swiss who does.
