Event: Field Trip to Lake Erie Nature and Science Center (LENSC)

Results: 43 Species, 14 Birders
Warblers appeared in a flock at the end of the walk, making a circle in the shrubs and trees by
the entrance of Lake Erie Nature and Science Center. Seven warbler species included American
Redstart, Blackpoll Warbler, Cape May Warbler, Chestnut-sided Warbler, Common
Yellowthroat, Magnolia Warbler, Wilson's Warbler. Common Yellowthroat was seen at another
location, American Redstart here and elsewhere. The ravine by Porter Creek at the back of
LENSC had a Red-headed Woodpecker. At the sledding hill, six House Wrens foraged in the
bushes.
