Father in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we worship you, we honour you and thank you for
the privilege of being in Christ Jesus. We honour you. We thank you for the power of your word
because its working in our lives, producing results in us. Our hearts are full of joy and now again
we open our hearts and minds to receive your word in faith and in meekness and in gladness. O
that the Holy Spirit anoint our hearts and minds to receive the word of God to bring us
information, knowledge, understanding in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
We are still talking about changing hopeless situations and particularly dealing with understanding
righteousness. Weve been on that for last few services. We said that the righteousness is the nature of
God. It is the nature of God. Righteousness is not right living, but that right living is the result of
righteousness. Most people think when the Bible talks about righteousness its talking about right living
and thats the reason they always try to qualify for righteousness by right living. According to the Bible
you first have to be righteous before you can live right. Righteousness is a nature. Someone who is not
righteous cannot live right. You do not attain righteousness by living right, you live right by having
righteousness. Thats the Bible way! Thats the reason why no matter how you try to get someone to
live right, if he doesnt have it in him he cannot live right. The most of the church world has preached
that you have to become righteous by living right. What do they mean by living right? By doing what
is right. What is right? They say by keeping the 10 commandments or some kind of laws or doing
something right. They say If you live well and please God then you will be righteous. But God says that
its not that way. Children of Israel had it that way upside down. Let me read it to you.

Romans 9:30-33 What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which followed not after
righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith. (31) But
Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness.
(32) Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For
they stumbled at that stumblingstone; (33) As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone
and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

The Gentiles who didnt follow
after righteousness, they didnt
go after right living the
righteousness which is obtained
by right living they couldnt go
for that because they couldnt
live right. God didnt give the
Gentiles any laws. God only
gave laws to the Jews. They
couldnt pursue righteousness
but the bible says that they have
attained righteousness. What
kind of righteousness? The
righteousness which is by faith.
They sought righteousness
which is the works of the law and not of faith. Thats the reason they couldnt get it. They wanted to
become righteous through the works of the law. Through trying to do right, trying to obey God through
the law and they couldnt become righteous.

You know the Bible was not written in chapters and verses. So we might as well just go on into chapter
10.

Romans 10:1-2 Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be
saved. (2) For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.
We just read that these Jews were going after the works of the law and so they were not saved. They
have a zeal for God but not according to revelation. The knowledge hes talking here is revelation
knowledge. The knowledge of the word of God. I bear them witness I can tell by looking at them that
they have a genuine zeal of God but not according to revelation knowledge. Does that bring folks to
your mind? People are that way today. They are zealous for God. They want to be righteous. They want
to do well but not according to revelation knowledge. See? They are trying to do that according to mans
understanding. We think that if we do right then we will be righteous. But God thinks differently.
Righteousness is a nature you cant do right except you are right. Right living is a product of a nature.
A dog barks because its a dog. A cat doesnt bark. Living right is a product of righteousness.

Romans 10:3 For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their
own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

As far as the righteousness of God is concerned you do not attain it, you do not qualify for it, you
submit yourself to it. You give yourself to it. You accept it. Because righteousness is a gift. It is
the nature of God that is given to us when we receive Christ Jesus as the Lord of our lives and
our saviour.

They have not submitted themselves to the righteousness of God but they are going about to establish
their own righteousness. Struggling and trying to become righteous.

Romans 10:3-4 For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish
their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

(4) For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

Janet Magieras Translation says

For Christ is the consummation of the law for uprightness to all who believe.
There are two words in Greek that could be used as end. One is eschatos and the other is teleos.
Eschatos means finishing, termination like end times. Eschatology. Teleos means perfection, maturity,
completion or consummation. The word used here is teleos. So when King James says Christ is the end
of the law it means Christ is the consummation of the law. It is right for someone to say Christ is the
termination of the law. Yes! But the termination is because of the consummation. Christ is the
consummation of the law. Jesus did it for us. Christ is the consummation of the law and therefore
termination of the law. The reason for the abolishing the law is Christ which is the consummation of
the law. I hope you understand.
Does that mean we make the law void through faith? God forbid: The law is actually established when
we walk in faith. (Romans 3:31) 1 Timothy 1:9 says that the law is not made for a righteous man. So
when we have the righteousness of God in us, we establish the law automatically so to speak through
our walk of faith. Why? Christ is the consummation of the law!
Now lets go on

Romans 10:5-6 For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which
doeth those things shall live by them. (Leviticus 18:5) (6) But the righteousness which is of faith
speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ
down from above:)
He says Moses describes the righteousness which comes from the law. Then he quotes a scripture in
Leviticus 18:5 something that Moses said to the people. That the man which doeth those things. The
man who does those things. Hes letting us know that the controlling factor of the relationship of the
people to the law was the doing of the law. The man which doeth those things will live by them. In
verse 6 the righteousness which is of faith speaketh. Come on here. You didnt get it?
There are two types of righteousness.
1. Righteousness which is of the law. Righteousness which comes from the law of Moses.
2. Righteousness which is of faith.
Now there are two controlling factors for both of them to function.
1. Righteousness which comes by the law doeth
2. Righteousness which comes by faith speaketh
In other words
1. To get the righteousness of the law you have to do.
2. To get the righteousness of faith you have to speak.
Dont you understand? Lets go on
Romans 10:6-8 But people whose faith makes them acceptable to God will never ask, "Who will
go up to heaven to bring Christ down?" (7) Neither will they ask, "Who will go down into the
world of the dead to raise him to life?" (8) All who are acceptable because of their faith simply

say, "The message is as near as your mouth or your heart." And this is the same message we preach
about faith.

Lets read on and youll understand this

Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine
heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Do you see it now?

1. To get the righteousness of the law you have to do.
2. To get the righteousness of faith you have to speak/confess/proclaim/declare

To get the righteousness of faith Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord
Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

This is different from the law. In the law you have to do it.
1. The man that doeth those things shall be saved by them. LAW
2. Romans 10:9
Why?

Romans 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession
is made unto salvation.
Another translation puts it this way: With the heart man believes and is made right with God.
With the mouth confession thats declaration announcement is made unto salvation. Its the confession
that catapults you into salvation.
Great News. See why it is the Gospel? Because somebody already qualified for us. We dont have to
qualify by our own works. Jesus qualified for us. We accept what hes done and confess it and thats
all.
In the New Testament when you confess the Lordship of Jesus over your life, you are catapulted from
the domain of darkness into the Kingdom of Gods dear Son. You receive eternal life. He that hath the
son hath this life. You receive eternal life. Eternal life is the nature of God which is the righteousness
of God. When you have that in your life automatically you can start living right. You dont have to
struggle to live right. You dont even have to ask somebody Is this right?
You just start living right. Your spirit can feed on the word of God. The more you study the word of
God you feed on it and your spirit will be built up. The Bible says to grow in knowledge not in
righteousness. You dont grow in righteousness. You cannot be more righteous tomorrow than you are
today. God is not more righteous than you are because the righteousness that you have now is His
righteousness which is given to you as a gift through Christ Jesus. He has become our righteousness.
Christ is made unto us wisdom, sanctification and righteousness and redemption. How could you
improve you on perfect? He gave you perfect redemption. Perfect righteousness. It could never get
better.
This is our authority. This righteousness gives us the ability to stand in the presence of God with
boldness. Without a sense of inferiority. We know in our spirits that we have a right to be heard. We
can pray knowing that God hears us. Its because of righteousness which He gave to us. You see your
faith will grow according to your consciousness of righteousness. This is the point.

The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. Why? Because he is righteousness
conscious. When you are righteousness conscious your faith works. But when you sin conscious your
faith is paralysed. It becomes ineffective because you are sin conscious. A lot of people say that when
you sin you break fellowship. Its not true. The Bible doesnt say so. The Bible doesnt say that when
you sin you break fellowship with God.
1 Corinthians 1:9 God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus
Christ our Lord.
We have been called into the fellowship of His son Jesus. When were we called? When we began to
live right? No! We were born that way. We were called into it by the new birth.

1 John 1:3 truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.

2 Corinthians 13:14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship
of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.

The fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you. He didnt say try to get it. Its a blessing on the church.
You know God spoke to the priests in the Old Testament and He told them how to bless the children of
Israel. He said in this way you bless them:
May the Lords face shine upon you May His face shine upon your path.
The priests would say like that. God didnt tell the people to get it or to make it work. He told the priest
to say it. And by his continual pronouncement of the blessing the glory of God will remain on them.

In the New Testament He says the same thing. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. We are not
trying to get the grace. John 1:17 says that the law came by Moses but grace and truth came by Lord
Jesus Christ. We are not trying to get it. Then the love of God. John 3:16 God so loved the world that
He gave His only begotten son. We can already see that the love is working. 1 John 4:19 says we love
Him because He first loved us. He cannot stop loving. 1 John 4:8 says that God is love. Fellowship of
the Holy Spirit be with you. Its a blessing. You know what a lot of us are trying to do? Were trying to
get the grace to get His love to make Him love us more. We think that if we do right Hell love us more.
God cant love us more than He already does. Jesus said that the world may know that thou has sent me
and has loved them as thou loves me. So how else is God going to love you? He already loves you the
same way He loves Jesus. So how is God going to love us anymore than He already does? This is His
best. This is heavens best. He cant do anymore. But we are trying to get more because we think that
what weve got is not good enough. Fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you. We are trying to get the
fellowship of the Holy Ghost. Hes the one who has come to fellowship with us. We have been called
into it. Great news!

Romans 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession
is made unto salvation.
With mans spirit he believes unto righteousness. He believes unto righteousness. You cannot believe
with your head. Believing is an act of the human spirit. You are a man who reads books that lives in a
house. You are not the house and you are not the books you read. You are not the body and you are not
the mind which you use to reason. You are a spirit which has a mind that lives in a body.
Then with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. In the New Testament the Gospel of the Lord
Jesus Christ means that salvation has been consummated. Everybody has been saved. Everyone has
been paid for. Salvation is available to everybody. A salvation that didnt include the righteousness of
God would be a failure. If man couldnt be made righteous with that salvation it wouldnt work. Because
righteousness is our approach to God without a sense of condemnation. Without the righteousness

salvation will be a failure. When you understand that Gospel means that Hes already done it and then
you accept it. Amos 3:3 says two cannot walk together except they agree. Now you accept what Hes
done and you declare what hes done. With the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Romans 10:11-17 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. (12)
For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto
all that call upon him. (13) For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
(14) How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe
in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? (15) And how
shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that
preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! (16) But they have not all
obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? (17) So then faith cometh
by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Can you see that? That gives you the confidence of your prayer life. Because you know that now you
are in the presence of God.
Heaven is a place in the kingdom of God. Heaven is not all there is in the Kingdom of God. Heaven is
a place. It has a geographical location in the Kingdom of God. Kingdom of God is a spiritual Kingdom.
Heaven is a place in that Kingdom. Right now we are not in heaven but we are in the Kingdom of God.
Do I mean that the earth is in the
Kingdom of God? No! When you are
born again you are born into the Kingdom
of God. Colossians 1:12-14 Giving
thanks unto the Father, which hath
made us meet to be partakers of the
inheritance of the saints in light: (13)
Who hath delivered us from the power
of darkness, and hath translated us into
the kingdom of his dear Son: (14) In
whom we have redemption through his
blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
We are in His Kingdom now. We are
alive to God now. When you are born
again you are born alive to God. The Fatherhood of God is made real to you. But you are not in heaven.
You will go to heaven.
Heaven is not mans final resting place!!
Thats not the last place. At the rapture of the Church the dead in Christ shall rise first. We that are alive
shall be caught up to meet the Lord in the air. So we go to heaven at the rapture of the church and we
will be there for 7 years. After that the 2nd coming of Christ will take place. There is a difference between
the rapture of the church and the 2nd coming of Christ. 2nd coming of Christ is when He comes with tens
and thousands of His saints coming from heaven. That is the 2nd advent of Christ. At the rapture He is
not coming like He would come at the 2nd coming. We will be caught up to meet Him in the air. At the
2nd coming of Christ we will be coming with Him. We are not the ones who are waiting for the 2 nd
coming of Christ. Because we ought to be coming with Him. Then when we come with Him He starts
an 1000 years of peace and He will live in Jerusalem on the throne of David. The whole will be going
on without the devil. That devil will be in prison for 1000 years in the bottomless pit. After that hell be
brought out again to tempt the nations. Right after that the battle of Gog and Magog. Then God gets set
for the great judgement. After the battle of Gog and Magog. Then after the judgement see in the
judgement we are not the ones to be judged. We have been judged already. We have been judged in
Christ Jesus. Romans 8:1 there is therefore now no judgement to them that are in Christ Jesus. Why?

We have been judged in Christ Jesus when He was nailed to that cross. Our sins were laid on Him. At
the Great White throne judgement we will be seated with Him judging the rest of the world.
1 Corinthians 6:1-2 Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unjust,
and not before the saints? (2) Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the
world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?

Somebody says Saint are the ones who have died and gone to heaven. Look at verse 1. Dare any of
you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unjust, and not before the saints?
Is he talking to people in heaven or to them on earth? To the Corinthian brethren. , go to law before
the unjust, and not before the saints?
If the saints were already in heaven then they would have to take their matters to heaven.
Hes talking about the saints down here in Corinth. How could there be any saint in Corinth? Did you
ever read the description of the saints at Corinth? Ha Ha!!
Read for yourself:
1. The first chapter Paul says that theres division in the church.
2. Second chapter Paul reprimands them that they didnt walk in wisdom.
3. Third chapter Paul said that they were carnal.
4. Fourth chapter Paul lets them know that they the Apostles have done right but it is the
Corinthians that havent done well.
5. Fifth chapter Paul rebukes them for fornication like the world didnt even have them.
6. Sixth chapter Paul rebukes them for going to court one against another. AND CALLS THEM
SAINTS!!!!
They were not saints because they qualified with their own action. They were saints because they were
qualified by the blood of Jesus Christ. Thats what makes you a saint. You are not a saint because you
havent done something wrong. You are a saint because you are blood washed and blood bought. Amen!
Is that clear? Ok lets go back.
1 Corinthians 6:2 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be
judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?

If Paul said if the world shall be judged by you it means that the saints Paul is talking about are
the you hes talking about. The same guys who were going to court against another.
1 Corinthians 6:3-7 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain
to this life? (4) If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who
are least esteemed in the church. (5) I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man
among you? no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren? (6) But brother goeth
to law with brother, and that before the unbelievers. (7) Now therefore there is utterly a fault
among you,
Paul called them saints before he even said that theres a fault among you. See a saint doesnt
necessary mean somebody who doesnt make any mistakes. Theres utterly a fault among you
yet he calls them saints.
Did Paul say faulty saints? No!

inherit the kingdom of

idolaters, nor
adulterers, nor
effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, (10) Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor
drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. (11) And such were
some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord
Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
Such were some of you. Not such are some of you. Now ye are washed. You are sanctified and
justified.
Hallelujah!
With the heart man believeth and is made right with God. With the mouth confession is made unto
salvation.
