2.1. Identifying characteristics of the product
2.1.1. Rating plate
none

2.1.2. Technical characteristics

none

2.2. Description of the test object

MRABOX enclosure is made of plastic. The top cover is fitted with rubber gasket. It is combined
with the bottom part via four screws. In the lateral wall of of the bottom part a plastic gland is
installed.

2.3. Conditions for testing

LBER tests were conducted under the following conditions:
- voltage fluctuations not more than 1%;
- temperature was maintained at a level of (22.5 0.2)C;
- relative air humidity level of (382) %.

2.4. Testing post and measuring apparatus

Inwent. Apparatus, post Measurement accuracy
No.
U93 STANLEY retractable rule 1mm
U118 HS-5 stopwatch 0,02s
U128 EBI-2TH-612 thermohygrometer 0,20C, 2%RH
P103 station for testing the safety rating against water penetra-
tion according to IEC 60529 IPX7, IPX8
P108.3 =1mm tester (IP 4X) acc. to PN-EN 60529
P110 dust-tightness testing chamber P-14.10 Grabenhorst

The measurements were performed at P confidence level of at least 95% (expansion coefficient
k = 2). The measurements were performed three times. The result record is the mean value of
measurements taken.
The measurement error (total expanded uncertainty) is a combination of type A uncertainty (re-
sulting from multiple measurements) and type B (instrument resolution, instrument grade and
readout error). Impact of external conditions on the measurement results was negligible.

2.5. Testing results

2.5.1. Results of the trial based on the requirements of PN-EN 60335-1:2004, 15.1 and 22.1 (based on the
requirements of the established standard PN-EN 60529:2003)
Testing of the protection marked with the first characteristic digit 6 against wire access to hazardous compo-
nents.
Subclause 12.2 Access tester - test wire diameter of 1 mm was pressed with a force of 1 N10% in each
opening of the enclosure.
Subclause 12.3 The protection is satisfactory. Test wire does not enter the enclosure through the openings.
Subclause 12.3.1 Adequate spacing between the tester and hazardous components is preserved.

Testing of the protection marked with the first characteristic digit 6 against foreign solids
Subclause Trial made in the dust chamber using talcum powder in quantity of 2 kg/m3. Enclosure classi-
13.4 fied as category 1. Negative pressure inside the enclosure at the time of the test being carried
Subclause measured at 20 mbar. Suction conduit was fed through an opening in the lateral wall of the
13.5.1 bottom enclosure part. The test lasted 8 hours. Suction rate was well below the required 40
volumes per hour. Volume of MRABOX enclosure measured at (12000.1) cm3
Subclause Talc did not build up inside MRABOX enclosure.
13.5.2 Requirements for IP6X code have been met.

Testing of protection indicated by the second characteristic digit 7 against the penetration of water
Subclause The test was performed by completely immersing the MRABOX enclosure in water, in the
14.2.7 operational position specified by the manufacturer, meeting the following conditions:
- the lowest point of the enclosure was placed 1000 mm below the water surface;
- the highest point of enclosure was placed more than 150 mm below the water surface;
- test lasted for 30 min
water temperature varied from the enclosure temperature by less than approximately 5 K
Subclause Penetration of the enclosure by water has been examined. No water penetration has been
14.3 found.
Accumulation of moisture on the components that affect safety of use did not take place.
Requirements for IPX7 code have been met

3. Test result
As a result of MRABOX enclosure testing it was found, that the version of enclosure submitted for testing
might be marked with IP67 code.

4. Standards documents
The tests were performed in accordance with the following standards documents.

4.1. Standards:
- in the field of of accreditation
PN-EN 60335-1:2004, 15.1, 22.1 and Household and similar electrical appliances - Safety - Part 1: General
amendment requirements
- outside the accreditation scope
