C.

Generalization

The five forms of an equation of a line are the Point-Slope, Two-Point, Slope Intercept,
Intercept, and General Forms.

D. Application

1. Write the equation of the line determined by the slope m and y-intercept b: m = 3/2, b = -4.

2. Find the equation of the line that passes through A with slope m: A(-6,-3), m = 1. Draw the line.

3. Find the equation of the line passing through points A and B: A(2,0), B(-6, 4)

4. Find the equation of the line through the indicated point with slope m: (3,-5), m = -4/5.

5. Write the equation of the line with x-intercept a and y-intercept b: a = -3/5, b = -2/3.

6. Express 4x y = 8 in intercept form.

IV Evaluation

Classify the equation. Write PSF for Point-Slope Form, TPF for Two-Point Form, SIF for Slope-
Intercept Form, TIF for Two-Intercept Form, and GF for General Form.
