1 FADE IN:INT - A CAR- MORNING 1

The Highway is packed and people are running up and down the
road trying to break in to trucks.
CUT TO:
Traffic jam WILLIAM is playing on his phone.

WILLIAM
Look outside. There are herds of
people yelling and screaming.
They are trying to get into moving trucks so they can get
passed the boarder control in illegally get into the United
Kingdom.
There are FRENCH POLICEMEN with clubs in their hands yelling
at the to get of the trucks.They refuse
2 INT - CAR - DAY 2

You shout to David to lock the doors and with one click they
lock.
Now you are stopped moving because they are preventing you
from driving forward.

They stand in front of the car expecting you to let them in.
DAVID
We are almost in Calais William.

WILLIAM
Ohh Great
DAVID

Cant You wait to get back to school William?

WILLIAM
Noooo I cant wait to get back to school

DAVID
Look how foggy it is outside.
The fog soon clears and William
sees something.

WILLIAM
Hey Look Dad there are lots of people outside.

3 INT - CAR -AFTERNOON 3

The whole family is halted in a traffic jam.
Cut To:

David starts talking to his sons and says there is nothing

to worry about and that they are safe.
They start to move in the traffic.

WILLIAM
Hey dad when will we get to the ferry?
DAVID

Soon Son just play on your phone and we will be there soon.
4 EXT - FERRY - EVENING 4
DAVID

I told you it would not be long.

WILLIAM
I am bloody freezing on this boat and the weather is bloody
crap.

DAVID
Stop complaining William you are just like your mother.
DAVID

Go and get some food from the food court and close your
mouth.

leaving the ferry now lets get
back.

They drive of the ferry and floor it on to the A2 motorway.

5 INT - CAR EVENING 5

The family have just got back to their car and are eager to
get off the ferry and drive to the boarding school.
Cut to:
Everyone is waiting patiently for the ramp to come down so
they can drive and head off five hours north of England to
the school.
WILLIAM
Hey dad how long to we get to the school.

DAVID
itll be another 5 hours William.
WILLIAM
WHY!!!!

DAVID
Youll have to put up with it son.
WILLIAM
I wish we could of flown to the
school.

DAVID
That is too expensive I am not
spending money on something that is
capable to do in the car.

WILLIAM
Hey dad if you are sending me to

DAVID

DAVID
Any-who a long drive brings the
family together and brings us

So far this has I think this trip

6 EXT- PETROL STATION - NIGHT 6
Three hours later the whole family
stops at a run down petrol station
for some food and a bathroom break.
william is standin at the cashier
getting it scanned soon realizing
he has not enough money to purchase
the sandwich which he is craving
for.
He gives all the money he has and
runs off with the sandwich.

WILLIAM
OOH that cheese, Pickle and
marmalade sandwich looks
scrumptious.

I will go back to the car now with
Kevin hurry up we need to head off.
WILLIAM

CASHIER

WILLIAM

WILLIAM

William runs out the run down petrol stations and slams the
door causing the window to smash.

CHASHIER
Nine Nine Nine we have a runner on
the loose and he has smashed the

WILLIAM

DAVID

WILLIAM

DAVID

DAVID

WILLIAM

DAVID

WILLIAM

7 EXT - ROADSIDE - NIGHT 7

After around 30 minutes, they get pulled over by a police

officer pull the car over and asks them about what happens
in the petrol station and William tells them the story and
they are fine a lot of money and given community service.

WILLIAM
What are the bright red and blue
lights behind us dad?
DAVID
This is my worst fear

WILLIAM
Why?
DAVID
Its a god damn police car!!!

DAVID

Well the station down the road told
me that you stole a sandwich and
smashed a window. Is that correct?

DAVID

POLICE OFFICER

community service.
DAVID

POLICE OFFICER

DAVID

POLICE OFFICER

now.
8 INT - BOARDING HOUSE - NIGHT 8
David finally drops his children
off at the school. He waits in the
TV room and he sea that the boat
across the channel after his had
exploded.
DAVID
Oh look guys the boat which we just
went on has blown up.
NEWS REPORTER
P and O ferry 407 has exploded of
the shore of Calais after an engine
failed and caught fire. no one was
injured.
DAVID
Good thing we were not on that boat
could of been us.

WILLIAM
Good thing you booked it when you
did.

DAVID
Yeah we could have been dead if we
were on it.
DAVID
Well i will have to go in a couple
of minutes.
WILLIAM AND KEVIN
OK dad we will see you soon have a
safe trip back to Germany.

the ferrys has blown up.

9 EXT - HOUSE- DAY 9

The next morning David departs from his parents house and
starts driving back towards the channel. He hopes he can get
across safely without being blown up by the ship.
DAVID
Bye Mum Bye dad
David turns his engine and the car is brought into life on
that cold frosty mornig.
DAVID
Ahh The sound of success
DAVID
See you two in a couple of months
GRANDPARENTS
Bye son hope you have a great
journey back.
DAVID

10 INT - CAR - DAY 10

David backs out of the driveway and drives away from the
family home and continues his journey to the channel. He
stops at McDonalds for a sausage and egg MC muffin

WORKER AT MCDONALDS
CAN I TAKE YOUR ORDER PLEASE
DAVID
Yeah I would like a sausage and egg
MC muffin please
WORKER AT MCDONALDS
OK That will be two pounds please

11 EXT - FERRY -DAY 11

David finally arrives at the channel and checks in with the

security.
SECURITY OFFICER
Do you have any Weapons with you
Sir?

DAVID
No Sir
SECURITY OFFICER
Just Checking

David gets back in his car and drives to the port and waits
for the ferry to dock.
DAVID
Good lord this thing takes forever
will it ever come?
David board the boat and heads up stairs to the lounge,
DAVID
God these lounges keep on
decomposing every time I board this
ship.
Twenty minutes later there is an announcement from that
captain say that we are going to head to the port of Calais.

DAVID
Finally we are heading off I never
want to do this again it is such a
hassle.

Suddenly there was a judge explosion and the boat came to a

halt and water starts gushing in from all directions.
Everybody is worried and there is lots of chaos. David looks
for a life vest and luckily there was one left. He then
smashes a nearby window and quickly escapes.

DAVID
Ohh God we have crashed!!! I really
dreaded going today knowing what
happened yesterday.

David got old of a life vest and floated out of a nearby

smashed window and floated to the surface.
David was floating in in the ice cold ocean for around
twenty minutes and finally help came. The English coast
guard helped people and brought them back to safety.

LIFE BOAT RESCUERS

Are you OK sir?
DAVID
Yeah I dont quite know what just
happened.
LIFE BOAT RESCUERS
It looks like this guy has lost
some of his mind. we need to get
him on the boat as fast as
possible.
12 INT- HOSPITAL- DAY 12
After the tragic accident with the
boat David was brought to a
hospital to recover. As his car is
at the bottom of the ocean the only
way back to Germany is by plane.
DAVID
Can I leave the hospital now? I
need to see my wife so I can tell
her I am okay.
HOSPITAL STAFF
OK David will will release you now.

13 INT - AIRPORT - DAY 13

David was released from the hospital and taken to London
Heathrow airport where he has a flight to Germany.

DAVID
Can I check in for this flight
AIRPORT STAFF
What is your name and can I have
your passport please.

AIRPORT STAFF
OK you flight is booked for 12:30
pm

DAVID
Thank you very much.
David takes his boarding pass and goes through security and
then to his gate he waits for boarding.
14 INT - PLANE - DAY 14
David gets on his plane and waits for it to take of. After
it takes off he quickly falls asleep and soon arrives at
Frankfurt airport.
AIRPORT STAFF
We are now landing in Frankfurt
please remain seated.

DAVID
We are already there wow that was a
fast flight.
AIRPORT STAFF
Thank you, you can depart from the
air craft and go to passport
control.
David gets of the airplane and heads towards passport
control. After fifteen minutes of walking he arrives at the
passport control and is cleared he then heads towards the
baggage claim.
DAVID
God thats a long walk from the
plane probably a good mile or two.

DAVID

DAVID

David has just cleared the passport control and is now

waiting for his baggage to arrive.
DAVID
God this baggage is taking long

Yeah this is Frankfurt itll take
around an hour to arrive.
DAVID
Ohh God Thats terrible.
RANDOM PERSON
Yeah I know I have done this for
fifteen years.

DAVID
Wow That long.
DAVID
Ohh look theres my bag

DAVID

16 INT - AIRPORT ARRIVALS LOUNGE - NIGHT 16

David has left the baggage claim with his bag and soon meets
up with his wife Barbra.
DAVID
Ohh I cant wait to see Barbra.
David walks outside and sees Barbra smiling at him.
BARBRA
Ohh David it has been so long since
I have seen you I have been so
Worried about you and have missed
you for these couple of days.
DAVID
Im so glad I am alive and here
with you now I guess we should
leave and go home now and have a
cup of tea.
BARBRA
OK That sounds great.
