A debreceni nkormnyzat igyekszik folyamatosan fejleszteni a vrost, hogy lhetbb legyen.

Szemlyesen tapasztalom, hogy egyre tbb a stlutca a vrosban, amely knyelmet s
biztonsgot nyjt a gyalogosoknak. Az elhagyatott hzakat igyekeznek lebontani, hogy helykre
j pleteket, vagy utakat ltestsenek. Fontos megemlteni a nemrgiben plt 2-es villamost,
amely segtsgvel sok klvrosi lakos tud knnyebben a centrumba utazni. Amennyire tudom
egy j nagyszabs beruhzsra kszl a vros nkormnyzata. A jelenlegi rgi vastllomst

The government of Debrecen is constantly trying to improve the city making it more livable. I
personally experience the growing number of pedestrian streets in the city, providing comfort
and security to pedestrians. Abandoned houses are bulldozed in centre in order new buildings
or roads can be built. It is important to mention the recently built tram line 2, which makes it
easier for many suburban residents to travel to the centre. As far as I know, a new large-scale
investment will be made by the local government. The old railway station will be rebuilt, and
the bus station will be next to it. Parallel new bypass roads would be created. Seeing the plans,
if it would be built, the square of Petofi would become a very imposing area.

I do not litter in the street, however, there are a lot of people who do not care about their
surroundings. Another problem many people take their dog for a walk and they mess the
pavement without cleaning up by owner. Unfortunately sight of dogs excrement is in Debrecen
rather usual. Owing to litter government of Debrecen would impose a very big fine on the
people who litter, so that mistake and would never commit the same thing in the future. On the
other hand the government try to start education about what further consequences littering
might have and teach the people about it.
In Debrecen, selective waste collection is not well developed. Although there are some bins
which can be used for selective waste collection, still it is not a widespread solution, because
most of the domestic waste is mixed. People take it to the streets to put it in the assigned bins.

A Greenpeace mellett vannak loklis civil kezdemnyezsek is Debrecenben. Egsz szles az a

skla, amelyrt ltrejttek ezek a szervezetek. Vannak olyanok amelyek a krnyezetvdelemrt,
mg msok a hajlktalanokrt vagy esetleg az llatokrt. Szerintem nem tbb szervezetre lenne
szksg, hanem a meglvknek nagyobb jogkrt adni, hogy beleszlhassanak bizonyos
dolgokba a vros krl.

Greenpeace is an independent organization that campaigns to protect the environment. It has a

worldwide membership of more than five million people. Greenpeace campaigns against
environmental abuse, through non-violent direct action. In addition to Greenpeace there are
local civil initiatives in Debrecen. There is a wide scale for which these organizations are
established. There are some for the environment, while others for the homeless or for the
animals. I think there is no need definitely more organization, but more right for the existing
ones to talk about things around the city.

szervezetek, sajnos sok esetben csak enyhteni tudjk a meglv problmkat. Egyik
legnagyobb gond Afrikban van. Gondolok itt a tlnpesedsre, illetve az hnsgre. Az
ingyenes tel s gygyszerszlltmnyok ellenre tovbbra is krzisben vannak az afrikai
orszgok tbbsge. A msik slyos problma a krnyezetszennyezs.

Tbb nemzetkzi kezdemnyezs is ltrejtt, hogy az orszgok kzs ervel tegyenek a
globlis felmelegeds ellen. Ilyen pldul a prizsi klmaegyezmny. Ezen egyezmnyek
szmos eredmnyt elrtek, mbr a gazdasgi fejlds olyan temben gyorsul, hogy sajnos
tovbbra is egyre fokozdik a globlis felmelegeds.

There are several international organizations that have been created to help solve the problems
of the world. These organizations are UN and FAO. While these organizations help a lot,
unfortunately, in many cases, they can only alleviate existing problems. One of the biggest
problems is in Africa. I'm thinking about overpopulation or famine. Despite the free food and
drug deliveries, the majority of African countries continue to be in crisis.
Another serious problem is pollution. As more and more factories were built, our very life is
already threatened by the results dangerous for our environment. Due to the depletion of the
ozone layer, global warming is one of the threatening issues concerning the environment. It will
entail increase in the worlds temperature, rise in the sea level and also the smelting of the polar
ice cap.
There have been several international initiatives to make a decisions countries together against
global warming. For example, the Paris Convention on Climate Change. These conventions
have achieved some success, although economic development is getting to improve at a rate
that unfortunately continues to increase global warming.
