TheComplainantstatesthatthefollowingfactsestablishprobablecause:

YourcomplainantisalicensedpeaceofficeremployedbytheRochesterPoliceDepartment.Inthat
capacityyourComplainanthasreviewedthepolicereportsrelatingtoChazElijahMoore,theabove-
nameddefendant,andtheallegationscontainedtherein.Baseduponthatinformation,yourcomplainant
believesthefollowingtobetrueandcorrect.

OnSeptember21,2017,atapproximately4:38PM,OfficerChamberlandoftheRochesterPolice
DepartmentwasdispatchedtoMethodistHospitalinthecityofRochester,OlmstedCounty,Minnesota,on
anassaultcomplaint.DispatchadvisedVictim-afemalefullyidentifiedinpolicereports,haddrivenherself
totheemergencyroomandwastakenintosurgeryforanemergencyCesareansection.Victimreported
thatshehadbeenassaulted.UponarrivalOfficerChamberlandmadecontactwithVictim.

Victimstatedthatshewas26weekspregnant.Victimsaidsheworksovernightsandhadcomehomeafter
workandwenttobed.Atabout10:30AM,Victimwoketothesoundofsomeoneinthehome.The
individualinthehomewasChazElijahMoore(3/27/1997),Defendantherein.Defendanthadlethimselfin
usingthegaragecode.Defendanthadpreviouslylivedattheresidence.VictimindicatedDefendantis
mostlikelythefatherofherunbornchild.WhenDefendantcameinhewasyellingaboutsomething.Itwas
uncleartoVictimwhatDefendantwasyellingaboutbecauseshehadjustwokeup.DefendanthadVictims
cellphoneinhishandandwasveryupset.VictimwasafraidofDefendant.DefendantsmashedVictims
phoneonthefootofherbed,breakingit.VictimstoodupandDefendantgrabbedherbythearmsnearher
biceps.DefendantshovedVictimbackwardstothebed.Victimwaspushedsohardthatshelandedflaton
herback.VictimhadbruisesonherarmsfromwhereDefendanthadgrabbedher.Defendantalsotipped
overVictimsnightstand.VictimyelledatDefendanttoleave.Defendantleftandflippedacouchoveron
hiswayout.

Aboutfiveminuteslater,Victimfeltseverecrampinginherabdomenandfeltsomethingrunningdownher
leg.Victimwenttothebathroomandfoundthatshewasbleeding.VictimsenthermotheraFacebook
messagethatshewasgoingtothehospitalbecauseherphonewassmashed.Victimdroveherselfto
Methodist.Atthehospital,thebabysheartbeatbegantoaccelerateandthenslowdown.Afterashort
time,staffcouldnotfindthebabysheartbeatandVictimwasrushedoffforanemergencyCesarean
section.Stafffoundouttheplacentawas95%tornandVictimwaslosingbloodandthebabywasno
longergettingblood.Thebabywasbornalive,buthadtobeintubated.VictimgaveOfficerChamberlanda
descriptionofDefendantsvehicle.OfficerChamberlandphotographedpicturesoftheinjuriesonVictims
arms.

OfficerChamberlandwenttoVictimsresidenceinNorthwestRochestertoobservethescene.
OfficerChamberlandwasadvisedthatthecouchhadbeentippedbackupright,butdidobservecushions
wereonthefloor.OfficerChamberlandobservedatallnightstandtippedoverwithdrawersandcontents
scatteredasifithadbeentossedwithforce.OfficerChamberlandalsoobservedaniPhone6ssmashed
nearadresser.

OfficerChamberlandwenttoDefendantslastknownaddressandmadecontactwithhisroommates.
Defendantwasnotthere.OfficerChamberlandreturnedatapproximately11:00PMandobserved
Defendantsvehicleinthedriveway.OfficerChamberlandadvisedDefendantsroommatesthathe
believedDefendantwasthereandneededtospeakwithhim.Theroommatesindicatedtheysearchedthe
housethreetimesbeforeDefendantfinallycameout.Defendantwasplacedunderarrest.
