THREE PROPOSED PROJECTS:
One of the benefits of arranging the cruise was to get feedback from everyone about what
are the expectations from this group. As part of the informal discussion there were three
proposed projects.

LUDO CHAMPIONSHIP

If you have not played Ludo for a while, it is time to get into the form as the championship is
around the corner. We will have three categories: one for girls and boys separately and then
a mixed one to decide who the real champion is.

#GUPSHUP

We had started the monthly catch ups. There was a need to book a venue once a month and
have informal catch-ups with each other with one dish party. It will be great to know how
many families are interested and where they reside so we can plan accordingly. Instead of
bringing one dish every month, we can delegate the task to one third of the group to
manage refreshment. This means that we will have a turn every third month and will be
easy to manage.

CONNECTING FAMILIES

This is one of the most difficult projects to embark upon. We do receive a couple of requests
every month to find a match. Under our current resources where all of us work full time, it is
very difficult to run however if we have a volunteer lady who is trustworthy and can
maintain confidentiality, it can be implemented. Please provide your feedback and look
around to find someone who can take this responsibility.

EXHIBITION AT PERTH INSTITUTE OF CONTEMPORARY ART

Mark your diaries for the upcoming exhibition that officially opens on 10th November with
exhibits from Pakistani artists along with others depicting trauma and torture.
HELP FOR ROHINGYA MUSLIM CAMPAIGN
It was a successful event in Perth on 16th September and similar events have been held in other
states but the world is still waiting to hear support for the victims who have been inhumanely
treated by the military regime in Myanmar. It was sad to read in the West Australian on Saturday
that the poor souls were not reflected in the weekly search trends. Please keep the pressure on.

Australian Peace Organisation and Australia light Foundation "Help and Support Arakan Rohinga
Muslims" campaign". An event will be on the Saturday 30/09/2017 1pm at Al Muntada Centre 424
