Read the following paragraph carefully and answer questions 14 and 15

Maps of tribal lands have been in existence for a long time and usually take many forms: field sketches, explorers
drawings, surveyors maps, etc. Most of the currently existing maps are reconstructions that are based largely on
archaeology, oral reports, and evidence gathered from observers accounts in letter, diaries, and official reports.
Accordingly, the accuracy of these maps is especially dependent on the mapmakers own interpretive abilities.Though
these maps incorporate some information gleaned directly from the native tribal people, rarely has any native tribal
map contributed to this official record. The official maps are often compiled, surveyed, and authenticated by non-tribal
people. Thus current maps indirectly reflect and are influenced by the origins of the data, the mixed purposes for
which the maps have been prepared etc. These maps could however influence Government policies and also change
our attitude toward an understanding of the tribal people.

Q14. Which of the following best describes the content of the passage?
