Inc. The Barge, boxing club, children's centre, Things for teenagers to do rather than

We found 3 broad groups of families

(i) STABLE & SETTLED

This group were usually older, longer standing
residents who own their own homes with a
greater sense of community, have a car, with
family and close friends in the area planning to
stay in Vange

(ii) TRANSIENT & UNINVESTED

This group were often more recent residents of
Vange, younger, with their first or second child,
not planning to stay in Vange and do not want
to raise their children there, feel quite isolated
and believe the area to be unsafe with no
community spirit

(iii) IN-BETWEENERS: This group was made up

of people who sit in between these two groups
with a mix of both groups views and values
