27.5 % Midterm Exam II (December 28, Wednesday, 17:40, tentative)
35 % Final Exam (Finals week)
Note: Midterm I will be a closed-book closed-notes exam and include topics covered until Nov. 16
Midterm II will be an open-book exam and include topics covered between the Midterm I and II dates;
and
Final exam will be of two parts open and closed, and include all topics covered throughout the
semester.

POLICY
No attendance will be taken but students are strongly advised to follow the lectures in class.
Average total scores will NOT necessarily be awarded a letter grade of CC, as the instructor
expects a certain level of success from the students! Keep in mind, in a crowd of bad students
the average grades come lower, and this does not necessarily mean such a group of students have
learned sufficiently to pass the course!
Those students who have not taken a midterm exam without a medical report will not be given
the final exam.
Those students who miss a midterm exam due to their medical condition must notify the
instructor or assistants through e-mail of their situation on the day of the exam and must submit
or send by fax/e-mail their doctor's report no later than within 24 hrs of the exam. Otherwise no
make-up exam will be given, resulting in an NA grade!
