ABSTRACT
Staphylococcus aureus was a normal flora bacterium in the nasal mucosa and
perineum. Staphylococcus aureus can moves from its habitat to hands, due to
frequent direct contact (hand-contact) with the area. Contaminated or dirty hands
can lead the movement of pathogenic bacteria from the body or other sources to
the food. So if pathogenic bacterial enter the body, it will cause gastroenteritis
disease. School period was also a prone to various diseases. Schools can be a
threat of transmission of disease in children if it not managed properly. The
purpose of this study is to identify whether there is a Staphylococcus aureus and
to determine the percentage of Staphylococcus aureus on children SDN 95 in
Rejosari , Tenayan Raya District. The method used is Experimental Laboratory
and the data is presented in table form. Based on the results of identification of
Staphylococcus aureus study with 31 samples taken, 4 positive samples were
found on hand swab in samples 14, 25, 26 and 32. The conclusion of this research
is there were Staphylococcus aureus bacterial in children of SDN 95 in Rejosari ,
Tenayan Raya District with percentage of Staphylococcus aureus in all samples is
12.90%.
