VEX Extra Parts List

The Carnegie Mellon VEX curriculum contains an instructional link called

Resources. This section includes many additional learning resources that a
teacher can use to teach electronics, mechanics, basic electricity, and advanced
VEX concepts. This section requires parts that are not included in the VEX
bundles that allow a teacher to teach robotics related lessons around the following
orgnaizers:
Electronics: crimping, soldering, the multimeter, and making homebrew
sensors;
Mechanics: fasteners, tapping, hand tool identification;
Basic Electricity: lemon battery, DC circuits, Simple Schematics, electro-
magnetic solenoid, relays, and DC motors;
Advanced VEX: extended test bed, PWMs, relays and PWMs lesson, and
pneumatics.

The tools and hardware in the list below are needed for a specific instructional unit.
For instance, CRIMPING (below) lists the non-VEX bundle tools and hardware for
the crimping lesson in the extra resources section named crimping. The link
