5830MHz Frequency with Least Noise 5855MHz Frequency with Heavy Noise
(To use) (Not to use)
Noise
Frequency
In above result : -- At 5830MHz Frequency : Noise level is -90dBm (Must be selected while configuring the Radio)
At 5855MHz Frequency : Noise level is -48dBm
Cambium Spectrum Analyzer
Spectrum Analyzer tool can be used to find out the least noise frequency channel. Conducting
spectrum analysis causes the AP to enter scan mode and the AP drops all RF connections.

Noise
Frequency
In above result : -- At 5830MHz Frequency : Noise level is -90dBm (Must be selected while configuring the Radio)
At 5855MHz Frequency : Noise level is -48dBm
Note :-- Signal strength (RSSI Level) must be reduce to have the minimum 10dBm difference between Noise and RSSI level.
For eg. -- If current RSSI on link at 5830MHz frequency is -55dBm and Noise level on this frequency is -65dBm then the link will work.
And if, the Noise level on this frequency is found -60dBm or high, then this link will have packet drop and heavy latency issue. So it is advised
to have a differnce of minimum 10dBm between Noise and RSSI.
Spectrum Analyzer
After the Completion of Spectrum Analysis, Perform the following steps to return back to the device mode of AP / SM .
Procedure:
1.In the spectrum analyzer application, click on Stop Scan.
2.Close the spectrum an,alyzer application by clicking File and Exit.
3.On the ePMP GUI, navigate to Configuration Radio
4.Configure Device Mode to AP / SM
5.Click on the Save and Reboot the device.
