- Read an excerpt from The Tortoise and the Hare and see if the kids in the class can guess
what book it came from. (Cant show them the front cover of the book so they wont already
know it)

Process/Instructional Activities
(State step by step what the learner will do to master the objective.)
- First I will set my expectations for the class so they know what I am looking for
- Then I will explain what I would be reviewing and talking about for my presentationa
- Next I will go through my powerpoint presentation and review the authors purpose PIE and
folktales, fables, fairy tales, etc.
- I will then read the Tortoise and the Hare to the class and discuss the book a little bit after
- Once I finish reading I will explain the book sort activity that I made for the kids to do
- Finally I will have them go back to their seats and fill out the exit ticket to end my lesson
