Professional chiropractor Brigham Adams and his wife Camilla visited Desert View Intermediate School teacher Kristin Warners class on September 15, to put on a informational presen-
tation about the human spine. Adams, whose son Parks Adams is a student at Desert View, began his presentation by bringing in a replica of the human spine and described each section and
their functions (such as the functions of the discs, nervous system, etc.). Adams also went over the potential injuries that a spine can sustain and what the results of such injuries can be (such as
paralysis). The presentation concluded with a short in-class activity involving the students putting together their own miniature candy spines using pipe-cleaners to represent the spinal cord,

United Blood Services Unity Club hosts

blood cells annually to reach
patients in 18 different states.
The Page High School Unity Club put on a teacher luncheon on September
20, to show their appreciation and to highlight the clubs mission and up-
coming events. The goal of the Unity Club is to foster the spiritual, mental,
physical and social development of American Indian and Alaskan Native
youth and to help build a strong, unified and self-reliant Native America
through greater youth involvement.
