Warrior Ethos - With a pure spirit and calm mind, we can be an effective part of
Gods body!

Standing Strong The task ahead of you is never as great as the power within you.
Shoulder to Shoulder Bear one anothers burdens, and so you will fulfill the law of Christ. Galatians 6:2

Our Vision
With Gods help, we strive to help Veterans and their families to lead fulfilling lives by providing a
much needed Christ centered peer support group, serving as a "one stop shop" for resources,
special interest discussions, service projects, and educating others.

Our Purpose
- Provide fellowship to our veterans and their families who are facing challenges, with special
attention to those who have transitioned and struggling to reintegrate.
- Share the burden of having a loved one serving or has served in the military through group
discussions and social gatherings.
- Provide important resources of particular interests, becoming the one stop shop for assistance
of all kinds.
- Educate others with regards to the needs of these individuals and their families and the coping
strategies available.

The task ahead of you, is never as great as the power behind you.

Homeless Veteran PTSD Song Im Not Home will hopefully move us all into action beyond
where we are presently standing.

We are Stronger Standing Together than we are standing alone.

Veterans Support Group News

So many great things are happening with Cherokee Veterans Community (CVC) that we want you to
know about and get involved with.
Cherokee Veterans Community and Operation Not Forgotten https://operationnotforgotten.com/ have
come together by using their Vet Life Community (VLC) components for our veterans. These
components have three support groups; one for males, one for females, and still another for family
members and others who play a significant role in the life of the veteran. It is essential to make these
groups distinct because the issues for each are different.
Male Veteran Support Group meet Every Thursday night in Building A Room 240 starting at
6:30 pm.
Female Veteran Support Group meet Every Thursday night in Building A Room 250 (room
not confirmed) but starting at 6:30 pm. These will be starting November 16. We are excited to
announce that Kim Bise, a 30 year U.S. Air Force veteran, will be the facilitator for this this group.
Family and Friends Support Group meet Every Thursday night in Building A Room 253
(room not confirmed) but starting at 6:30 pm. These will be starting November 16. We are also
excited to announce that Tina Sosebee as the facilitator for this group.
Childcare for both groups will be provided if needed.

For more information about these groups please contact us at VeteransMinistry@fbcw.net Office - 678-

LoveLoud-Reaching Veteran in Our Community

Phase II for Chief a Decorated Army Veteran is now completed.

On September 9th we returned to Chiefs house to complete the ramp project that was started a while
ago and many hands made fast work of this project. This finished project now allows Chief to move around
more easily inside and outside of his home. Thanks to all those that were able to dedicate their Saturday
to work on Phase II.

Chief a Green Beret was so appreciative of all that was done and excited about the accessibility and
independence it now gives him.

Phase III will provide the setting up his media center that will allow him to access videos, FBCW sermons
(Chiefs words) and listening to music through his TV. This will give him an added enjoyment throughout
his day.

deeper desire to move forward with your dreams that no one or no circumstance can extinguish.
We all have abilities and strengths that differ from person to person and not everyone can become a Navy

Sinking our roots deeper in the soil of His Word

Going Deeper in our faith (Father, Son & Spirit) is something that has been sought by Christians since
Christ walked the earth. It is natural for Christians to desire, and to experience the closeness of an
intimate relationship with God. But true intimacy with God is not simply a feeling on a par with a romantic
relationship. It goes much deeper than emotions, it goes down to our very soul and is reflected by our
actions. True intimacy with God begins with drawing near to Him.
This area of the Cherokee Veterans Community Newsletter, is devoted to sharing some of the many
different ways we can: Grow Deeper with God.
You will be linked to different websites, audio or video files that we pray will help us all to walk closer,
deeper and with more intimately with our Heavenly Father, the Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.
Enjoy the Journey. Enjoy the Relationship. Enjoy the Intimacy.
This Morning I Heard His Word say:
Psalms 32:8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way should go; I will council you with my loving
eye on you.
