Hey Jim,

We think this looks good, with one minor tweak. We believe the countys perspective is that
the governor does not share (or at least the same level thereof) the countys concern over the
discharge or water quality. Weve made one minor edit to the second sentence to reflect that
(from "we are certain that to we certainly hope that," and added the word of between
type and situation in the last sentence.

Please let us know if you have any questions. Ive copied Greyson Kane in on this so our
account team is included.

Cape Fear Public Utility Authority looks forward to the Governor meeting
with our community leaders on Monday. We certainly hope he shares our
concern over Chemours discharging GenX to the Cape Fear River, as well as
for water quality as a whole. We look forward to ongoing commitments from
NCDEQ and NCDHHS to ensure our source water are protected, the state
understands and documents health effects, and our customers can rely on
the full complement of state resources to ensure this type of situation does
not happen again in North Carolina.

Hi Jim. Do you have time for a short phone call?

I'm working on a story about what local officials are expecting and hoping to
get out of Monday's meeting with the governor. Very short and simple. If you'd
rather ship an email, that would be fine as well.

My deadline is 5 p.m.

Thanks,
