Puzzle 1:

Eight persons are living in an apartment having eight floors. There are eight entrepreneurs living with eight leading
businessmen of the country. Only one entrepreneur and one businessman stay on one floor. The names of the eight
entrepreneurs are Mahesh, Rahul, Puzhal, Prakash, Anbu, Nirmal, Prabhu and Raja - not necessarily in the same
order. The name of the eight businessmen are Mukesh Ambani, Ratan Tata, Anil Aggarwal, Rahul Bajai, Anand
Mahindra, Kotak Mahindra, Cyrus Mistry and Anil Ambani.

(i) Rahul is staying on an even-numbered floor and Rahul Bajaj is staying on the first floor

(ii) There are two persons staying between the floors on which Prabhu and Anbu live.

(iii) Prakash is staying on the topmost floor with Anil Aggarwal.

(iv) Ratan Tata is staying on the floor exactly below the floor of Anil Ambani but not with Puzhal. Mukesh Ambani is
staying exactly between the floors of Cyrus Mistry and Anand Mahindra but not on the fifth floor.

(v) Prabhu is staying on the third floor.

(vi) Raja is staying on an even-numbered floor and Mahesh is staying on an odd-numbered floor but not on the first
floor.

(vii) Cyrus Mistry is staying on the fourth floor but Raja is not staying with him.

(viii) Anand Mahindra is staying on the second floor.

(ix) Kotak Mahindra and Mahesh are not staying on the fifth floor.

(x) Anil Ambani is staying with Anbu on floor number sixth.

Puzzle 2:

Five persons P, Q, R, T and L are travelling in Shatabdi Express, but not necessary in the same order. Everybody has
been allotted a berth in different coaches. The name of the berths are Lower Berth (LB), Middle Berth (MB), Side
Lower (SL), Side Upper (SU) and Upper Berth (UB) but not necessarily in the same order. The names of the coaches
are B5, B2, B3, B1 and B4 but not necessarily in the same order.

(i) T is travelling in an odd-numbered coach but not in B3. The person travelling in B2 has been allotted Side Upper
Berth.

(ii) R is travelling in an odd-numbered coach and T has been allotted Side Lower Berth.

Puzzle 3:

There are five countries, namely India, Norway, America, Switzerland and Italy. Each of them has a national flower,
viz Lotus, Rose, Lily, Jasmine and Sunflower, and also a national animal, viz Lion, Tiger, Elephant, Panther and Bear
(but not necessarily in the same order.)

The country whose national animal is Bear has Rose as its national flower.
Neither Lily nor Jasmine is the national flower of Switzerland, whose national animal is Panther. India's
national flower is Lotus and Norway's national animal is Lion.
Sunflower is not America's national flower and Bear is not Italy's national animal.
The country whose national flower is Lily has Tiger as its national animal.

Puzzle 4:

There are six Indian cricketers, namely Sachin, Dhoni, Virat, Raina, Ishant and Yuvraj. Among them two are batsmen,
while others are wicket keeper, fast bowler, all-rounder and spinner, though not necessarily in the same order. Also,
each of these cricketers belongs to a different city, namely Kanpur, Surat, Bangalore, Pune, Ahmedabad and Kolkata.

Virat, a fast bowler, is neither from Pune nor from Kolkata.


The one who is from Ahmedabad is a spinner. Neither Raina nor Sachin is from Ahmedabad.
Sachin is the all-rounder of the team and is from Kolkata.
Virat is not from Bangalore while Yuvraj is not from Pune.
Raina the wicket keeper is from Surat. Neither Dhoni nor Yuvraj is a spinner.

Puzzle 5:

Six persons A, B, C, D, E and F are participants from different teams, viz Gold, Silver, Platinum and Diamond. They
participate in different categories, viz Singing, Dancing, Drawing, Cricket, Squash and Kho-Kho in different days of a
week from Monday to Saturday. There, is no competition on Sunday. Two of them are the players of team Gold and
two of them are the players of team Diamond.

E participates in Squash but he is neither from team Silver nor from Gold.
A is from team Gold but participates neither on Thursday nor on Wednesday.
Neither F nor B participates either in Drawing or in Cricket.
Dancing competition is held on Tuesday.
Persons participating in Kho-Kho and Drawing are from team Gold and Platinum respectively.
C participates in Singing on Friday and he is from team Silver but F does not participate on Tuesday.

Puzzle 6:

There are seven persons Rio, Regina, Rekha, Divya, Diya, Jiya and Ritu - who teach different subjects, viz Maths,
Politics, Tamil, Mechanical, Computer, French and English but not necessarily in the same order. They teach on
different days of the week starting from Monday. They like different colours, viz White, Yellow, Red, Black, Brown,
Green and Pink, but not necessarily in the same order.

Regina, who likes Green, teaches on the fourth day of the week but neither Maths nor English. Two persons teach
between Regina and Jiya, neither of whom teaches on the 1st day of the week. There is one person between Rio and
Rekha. But Rekha does not teach either on 1st or on 3rd day of the week. Rekha likes Yellow colour and teaches
Maths. The one who teaches Tamil teaches on the last day of the week and likes Red colour. Divya does not teach
on the day either immediately before or immediately after the classes by Rio, who does not like either Brown or
White or Black colour.

Ritu teaches immediately after Rekha and he likes White colour. Diya does not like Brown colour and teaches
French. Rio does not teach either Computer or Mechanical. The one who teaches Politics takes class immediately
after the day when Maths has been taught.

Puzzle 7:

In a Public Sector Bank, there are five clerks Praveen, Mahesh, Ashwin, Irfan and Gokul. Two of them play
Badminton while the other three play different games viz. Carrom, Boxing and Billiards. One Badminton player and a
Billiards player stay in the apple flat, whereas the other three stay in different flats, i.e. Orange, Banana and Grapes.

Two of these five players are commerce graduates while the other three are computer graduate, English graduate
and Tamil graduate respectively. The billiards player is the oldest in age while one of the Badminton players, who
plays at the national level, is the youngest in age. The age of the other Badminton player, who plays at the
international level, lies between the Carrom player and the billiards player. Irfan is an international level player and
stays in the apple flat while Gokul is a computer graduate and stays in the Grapes flat. The Carrom player is an
English graduate and stays in the Orange Flat. Mahesh is a Tamil graduate and plays Billiards while Praveen is the
mechanical engineer and plays Badminton at the national level.

Puzzle 8:

Seven Persons - Jayant, Laxman, Praveen, Kiran, Hanush, Eswar and Okas live on seven different floors of a building
but not necessarily in the same order. Lowermost floor is numbered 1. Each of them went to spend their vacations
in one of the following destinations - Fiji, Corsica, Guyana, Caribbean, Mauritius, Madagascar and Hawaii. Each left
on a different day of the week starting from Monday.

Laxman lives on an odd numbered floor but not on floor number three and left on Monday
The one who went to Guyana lives immediately above Okas who left on some day after Thursday
The one who went to Fiji lives on an odd numbered floor above Eswar
Hanush went to Hawaii and lives on the 4th floor

Puzzle 9:

Eight friends A, B, C, D, E, F, G and H are seated in a circular fashion facing the centre. They like different people: Bill

necessarily in the same order. They also have a different occupation: banker, painter, politician, doctor,

following rules:

Hriday, Hridik, Hriman, Hrishikesh, Hrithik and Hritish are six children of Mrs Kaviya. Each of the children was born
on different days of the week except Sunday. Mrs. Kaviya gave birth to a child every alternate year but not
necessarily in the same order as the names of the children are given. Each child teaches a different subject. The
subjects are Reasoning, Quantitative aptitude, Current affairs, English, Computer and Banking. Hrishikesh was born
on Tuesday but not before 2010 and he teaches Reasoning whereas Hriman teaches Computer. The child who was
born on Wednesday teaches Quantitative aptitude. The fourth eldest child teaches English while Hridik teaches
Banking. Hriday, who was born in 2005, teaches Current affairs. Computer is studied by the third eldest child who
was born on Friday. Hridik was born on Thursday and Hritish on Saturday. Hriday is eldest child while Hrithik is
youngest.

in the same city. The following information is known about them:

F is a female who lives in Nagpur and her husband works in ING VYSYA
There's only one pair who work in the same bank and they live in Agra.
M is a male whose wife works in LVB bank.
N is the husband of the one working in IOB in Indore

Puzzle 12:

Eight boxes are arranged in a stack from bottom to top numbered from 1-8 each having a different colour: green,
black, blue, white, yellow, orange, red and pink not necessarily in the same order. They contain a different food
item: fruits, burger, candy, chocolate, brownie, pastry, chips and coke not necessarily in the same order. The
arrangement is based on the following rules:

Puzzle 13:

Eight friends- Rahul, Sehwag, Laxman, Gambhir, Sachin, Zaheer, Kumble and Ganguly visit different cities viz.
Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai are sitting around a circular table facing the centre of the table. Each
city is being visited by two people only, but not necessarily in the same order. All these friends have different pens
i.e. -Cello, Camel, Natraj, Montex, Sharp, Ambassador, Linc and Luxor. No two people visiting the same city are
sitting adjacent to each other except those visiting Bangalore. The person who has Montex is sitting on the
immediate left of the person who has Luxor. Sachin neither has Luxor nor Natraj. Ganguly has Ambassador and visits
Hyderabad and is sitting to the immediate left of Sehwag, who visits Bangalore. Sehwag does not have Natraj.

Puzzle 14:

Seven friends namely, Vignesh, Harish, Gopal, Sukumar, Gokul, Sharma and Abdul attend different sports coaching
namely, Cricket, Football, Hockey, Skating, Boxing, Tennis and Volley ball, not necessarily in the same order, from
Monday to Sunday (of the same week). Vignesh attends a coaching on Friday. Only two people attend coaching
between Vignesh and the one who is learning Skating. Sharma attends a coaching immediately before Sukumar,
Neither Sharma nor Sukumar is learning Skating. Only one person attends a coaching between Sharma and the one
who is learning Hockey. The one who is learning Hockey does not have a coaching on Monday. Harish attends a

Puzzle 15:

There are nine persons Sunil, Anand, Rajan, Sankar, Karthik, Albert, Raman, Murali and Vimal stay on a nine floors
building, but not necessarily in the same order. Only one person stays on each floor. All of them have either Mobile
or Tablet of different colours i.e. yellow, golden, red, orange, Pink, Blue, Green, silver and grey, but not necessarily
in the same order. Only five of them have Tablet. The ground floor is numbered 1 and the topmost floor is
numbered 9.

There are two floors between the floors on which the persons having a Blue Mobile and silver Tablet stay. Rajan
owns a red Mobile. Albert does not own a grey Mobile. Sunil stays on even numbered floor below the even
numbered floor on which Murali stays. The one who own a Pink Tablet stays on the fourth floor. Sankar stays on the
second floor and owns the orange Tablet. The one who owns the golden Tablet stays on the topmost floor. Sunil

There is only one floor between the floors on which Albert and Raman stay. Karthik stays immediate above the floor
on which Vimal stay. Raman does not stay on the ground floor. Anand stays immediate above the floor on which
Murali stay. There are three floors between the floors on which Rajan and Albert stay. The one who owns the silver
Tablet stays immediate above Raman .Karthik stays on the fourth floor. The one who owns the grey Mobile stays on

There are seven persons M, P, Q, R, S, T and U who participated in a dancing competition which started on 25th
March and ended on 31st March. In the first round of competition, each of them performed regional Dances, viz
Bharatanatyam, Kathakali, Kathak, Kuchipudi, Odissi, Sattriya and Mohiniyattam, but not necessarily in same order.
They like different cars, viz Nissan, Toyota, Honda, Buick, Chevrolet, Dodge and Mercedes, but not necessarily in
same order.

U, who likes Dodge, performed on fourth day of competition but performed neither Bharatanatyam nor Kathakali
Dance. Two performances were held between the performance of U and T, neither of whom performed on 1st day

Puzzle 17:

Ajith, Surya, Vikram, Siva, Vijay, Arun and Vivek are seven shopkeepers of different shops, viz Electronic Appliances,
Jewellery, Books, Sportswear, Toys, Vegetables and Medicines. They go to supermarkets, viz. HyperCity, D-Mart,
Foodworld and Easyday only on Sunday but not necessarily in the same order. At least one shopkeeper goes to one
supermarket, but no super market is visited by more than two shopkeepers.

Arun, who is a shopkeeper of Books, goes alone to Foodworld. The one who is a shopkeeper of Sportswear does not
go to HyperCity. Also, he never goes either with Vijay or with Vivek. Siva goes to Easyday with the person who is the
shopkeeper of Medicines. Vikram goes to D-Mart. Vivek is not a shopkeeper of Medicines. The one who is the
shopkeeper of Sportswear goes to the market with the person who is the shopkeeper of Electronic Appliances. The

Puzzle 19:

A group of seven friends M, N, O, P, Q, R and S has four males and three females. Each of them has a different colour
of ID card, viz Yellow, Orange, Red, White, Green, Blue and Grey, and each of them has working from a different
bank RBI, SBI, UBI, BOI, IOB, HDFC and ICICI but not necessarily in the same order.

None of the females has Blue or Yellow. O has Red and her working from neither BOI nor HDFC. M has working from
HDFC and has neither yellow nor blue. N does not have White. Q has Grey and has working from either SBI or RBI. R
has Yellow or Green and has not worked in RBI. S has either Blue or Yellow and has worked in UBI. The one who has
White has working from ICICI. The one who has Orange has worked in either HDFC or RBI. None of the female
members has worked either in HDFC or in SBI.

Puzzle 20:

Ten students namely viz Rakesh, Naveen, Kumar, John, Suresh, Divya, Priya, Ramya, Anjali and Deepa from a banking
coaching institute but not necessarily in the same order have exam on five different days starting from Monday to
Friday of the same week. Students have exam at two different time slots, i.e 09.30 A.M and 01.30 P.M. Anjali has a
exam on Tuesday at 09.30 A.M. The number of people who have exam between Priya and John is same as the
number of people who have exam between Kumar and Ramya. Naveen has a exam day immediately before Anjali.
Anjali does not have exam on any of the days before Priya. There is one student who has exam at 09.30 A.M
immediately before Deepa. Ramya does not has exam at 01.30 P.M. John has an exam immediately after the day of
one who has exam on Monday. Divya does not have exam at 01.30 P.M. John does not has exam on any one of the
days after Suresh. Only three people have exam between Priya and Suresh. Neither Suresh nor Priya does not have

Puzzle 21:

Udhaya, Mahesh, Arun, Fasal, Raja, Gopi and Johnson are seven people live on seven different floors of a building
but not necessarily in the same order. The lower most floor of the building is numbered 1, the one above that is

Amar, Anil, Ajay and Arun are 4 students of different classroom coaching centres of ABC, a leading classroom
