Sequence
Effect Setting
Sets how the process sequence is determined.
Sheet The entire sheet is finished in order
etching open path outer loop.
Each Part Processes are executed to finish by
each part in order etching open
path outer loop.

Machine Stop for Prototype

Parts in prototype processing are processed
according to the Each Part sequence, and a
machine stop code (M00) is output so that the
prototype can be taken out for product
inspection after processing ends.
Select whether to output M00 to each
prototype part or after finishing of all prototype
parts.

All Etching First

Even if Effect Setting is set to Each Part,
etching is performed first on the entire sheet,
followed by finishing of holes and outer loop
on each part.

Starting Point/Direction
Sets the process start position and process
direction of the entire sheet.

Sequence by Dividing the Sheet

Calculation is performed after dividing the
sheet internally on the system when
determining the laser sequence. The laser
sequence can be determined more precisely
by setting a greater number of divisions. Note,
however, that the calculation time increases
when a greater number of divisions is set.
The default number of divisions is 5. (Up to
100 divisions can be set. Normally, leave the
setting at the default of 5.)

As an option setting, you can select whether to

divide the entire sheet or only the area of the
sheet where parts are nested.
When dividing only the parts area, you select
processing in one direction only.

Distance between Tooling >

Sets the distance from the end point of the
cutting path up to the start point of the next
cutting path. When selecting the cutting path to
be processed next after processing a certain
cutting path, do not simply select the nearest
cutting path; select a cutting path away from
the end point by the preset distance or more.
This setting decreases sheet deformation
during processing, such as warping of
materials caused by heat.

Sequence Processing Object

Sets the position to be taken as the reference
for judging the distance with the neighboring
path when determining the laser sequence.
Pierce Position Takes the pierce position as
the reference.
Center of Takes the center of the
Processing processing track as the
Track reference.

Change Lead in for Shorten Traverse

When Center of Processing Track is
selected above, the approach position for
shortening the path can be optimized. (This
item is not available when Pierce Position is
selected.)

Select the desired checkbox to automatically

change the approach position for shortening
the path on outer loops, special shapes and
open paths.

Flip Macro Pattern for Shorten Traverse

Likewise, select the desired checkbox to
automatically change the start position and
direction for shortening the path on macro
patterns.

Sort by Process after Cutting

When this checkbox is selected, shortening of
the processing path is performed on each of
the end values after sorting by end values
(chute, machine stop, etc.) is first performed.
This enables the load to be reduced in the
case of processing, such as machine stop,
that requires worker intervention since
processing of the same end values is
performed collectively.

Sort Holes by Process

Sorts holes by end values.

Sort Outer by Process

Sorts outer loops by end values.

Process Order
Processes are executed from the top of the list
downwards.
To change the order, click the desired item,
and click the arrow buttons to move the item
up or down the list.

Auto Cutout Avoidance

Auto Cutout Avoidance
"Auto cutout avoidance" prevents the laser
head from passing over holes or parts whose
processing has ended.
With sharp-pointer types, such as FO, parts
sometimes do not fall down between holes
whose processing has ended and skids, and
slugs rises up. When the laser head collides
with this scrap, both the machine and parts
can be damaged. Processing that avoids
holes, etc. after cutting can be performed by
setting hole avoidance as an auto cutout
avoidance condition.

Target Traverse
Select the target processing track along which
auto cutout avoidance is to be applied.

Traverse Setting

Additional Width(for Material, Process

Range)
Sets the range (distance in mm towards the
inside from the material or process range)
along which the laser head is not allowed to
pass by axis movement during auto cutout
avoidance.

Additional Width (Traverse)

Sets the range (distance in mm towards the
outside from an already processed laser track)
along which the laser head is not allowed to
pass by axis movement during auto cutout
avoidance.

Do not Avoid if Distance is Greater than

This setting is related to the axis movement
distance from the processing end point to the
next processing point.
The axis movement distance before auto
cutout avoidance is performed is compared
with the axis movement distance after auto
cutout avoidance is performed. When the axis
movement distance after avoidance becomes
a distance of a multiple (e.g. 2X) or more of
the axis movement distance before avoidance,
hole avoidance is not performed, and the laser
head is raised to allow it to pass over the hole.

Do not include the cutting smaller than

Auto cutout avoidance is not performed on
processing paths smaller than the X and Y
sizes set here.
(The sizes used for comparison with X and Y
are (MaxX - MinX) and (MaxY - MinY) on the
processing path.)
(Both X and Y must be smaller.)

B-136

Do not include the cutting bigger than

Auto cutout avoidance is not performed on
processing paths greater than the X and Y
sizes set here.
(The sizes used for comparison with X and Y
are (MaxX - MinX) and (MaxY - MinY) on the
processing path.)
(Both X and Y must be greater.)

Do not Avoid Cutout with Joint

Considerably reduces the risk of slugs or parts
rising up in the case of holes or parts with
joints. To prevent an increase in the
processing time caused by avoidance
processing, selecting this setting excludes
holes or parts with joints from the avoidance
target.

High-Speed Shutter Less Setting

"High-speed shutter less setting" is a
processing method that omits the shutter open
(M104) instruction and the laser head up, laser
head down and shutter open (M103)
instruction after end of cutting to shorten the
processing time.

With high-speed shutter less processing, the

laser head travels between tracks in a lowered
state. Accordingly, collision of the laser head
with slugs rising up after hole cutting and
lowering of the head due to detection of holes
after cutting by the trace sensor must be
avoided.
To avoid this, only the trace targeted in hole
avoidance processing is targeted in shutter
less processing.

Also, to perform high-speed shutter less

processing, Use Machine Macro Shape
checkbox must be set to OFF.
Deselect the Use Machine Macro Shape
checkbox at Basic Settings in Automatic
Tool Assignment Preferences.

Use High-Speed Shutter Less (Eliminate

M103/104)
When this checkbox is selected, an NC
program for high-speed shutter less
processing is created.

Use High-Speed Shutter Less for M103A0

When this checkbox is selected, M103A0 (no
piercing) also is eliminated.

Use High-Speed Shutter Less between

Parts
When this checkbox is selected, M103 is
eliminated also when moving to the next
processing position from the outer loop.

Part-Grid
Output Part-Grid
When this checkbox is selected, the NC
program is created using the G98 grid macro.

Note, however, that the Enable Part Grid

checkbox must already be selected at Nesting
preference - Nesting Logic 2 - Grid Pattern.

Use Macro
When this checkbox is selected, parts are
made using the UV macro when two or more
parts are located, and the NC program for
executing processing using the local
coordinates of G93 is created.
An advantage of this is that the NC program
becomes shorter.

Start Position
Sets the position where the grid macro is to be
started.
When Auto is selected:

When there is only one grid on the sheet:

The start position is the upper right.

When there are multiple grids on the sheet:

The start position becomes the position
closest to the end point of the previous
process.

Process Direction
Specifies the direction of the grid macro.
This determines the G75 and G76 codes.
When Auto is selected, the direction is
decided by the logic of analyzing critical path.

Common Line Cutting

Start Position
Sets the position where common line cutting is
to be started.
When Auto is selected, cutting is started from
the position near the previous processing end
point.

Fixed Direction
Processing is performed in only one direction.
(Check in Image View how cutting differs
when this checkbox is selected and
deselected.)

Direction to Process First

Sets which direction to process first.

X Processing is performed first in

the X direction.
Y Processing is performed first in
the Y direction.
Longer Processing is performed first in
the direction of the longer path.
Shorter Processing is performed first in
the direction of the shorter path.
(Check in Image View how the direction
changes.)
