Topic : Where Am I
Learning Standard : 2.1.1 , 2.1.2 , 2.1.3
Learning Objective : By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to:
a) recognize and articulate the sound.
b) blend phonemes into recognizable words and read them aloud.
c) segment words into phonemes to spell.

Aktiviti : 1. Teacher shows the sound cards to pupils.


2. Teacher asks pupils to articulate the sounds in the word cards shown.
3. Teacher shows the text to the pupils that contain the /a/ (igh) // (oa) words.
4. Pupils read the text and identify the words.
5. Teacher plays get it right together with pupils in the group and asks pupils to form a word
with the correct sound card.
6. Teacher plays hear me say together with pupils and asks the last pupils to segment the
words.
7. Teacher drills pupils with the sounds.
8. Teacher gives an exercise in the activity book as homework. (page 15)

Recite and perform poems with guidance paying attention to pronunciation, rhythm and intonation.

Activity : 1. Teacher recalls previous lesson.


2. Teacher put up a poem chart (as on Textbook, page 16) on the board.
3. Teacher shows picture cards and asks the pupils to match the pictures with the correct stanza.
4. Pupils read the poem without using rhythm and intonation.
5. Teacher teaches the pupils to recite the poem with correct pronunciation, rhythm and in
