Gawalmandi:-
It is located in Lahore since 18th century but after partition, Gawalmandi was the
first properly developed area outside of the walled city in Lahore. It had already
become a residential community after 1911. Later on it was the Gulberg of its
time.
Kot Diji:-
The ancient site at Kot Diji was the forerunner of the Indus Civilization. The
occupation of this site is attested already at 3300 BCE. Located about 24
kilometers south of Khairpur in the province of Sindh, Pakistan, it is on the east
bank of the Indus opposite Mohenjo-daro. The site is situated at the foot of the
Rohri Hills where a fort (Kot Diji Fort) was built around 1790 by the Talpur
dynasty ruler of Upper Sindh, Mir Suhrab, who reigned from 1783 to 1830 AD.
Tomb Of Jahangir:-
The Tomb of Jahangir is a 17th century mausoleum built for the Mughal
Emperor Jahangir. The mausoleum dates from 1637, and is located in Shahdara
Bagh in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan, along the banks of the Ravi River. The site is
famous for its interiors that are extensively embellished with frescoes and
marble, and its exterior that is richly decorated with pietra dura. The tomb, along
with the adjacent Akbari Sarai and the Tomb of Asif Khan.
Makli nercolpis:-
Makli Necropolis is one of the largest funerary sites in the world, spread over an
area of 10 square kilometres near the city of Thatta, in the Pakistani province of
Sindh. The site houses approximately 500,000 to 1 million tombs built over the
course of a 400 year period. Makli Necropolis features several large funerary
monuments belonging to royalty, various Sufi saints, and esteemed scholars.
Badshahi Mosque:-
The Badshahi Mosque is a Mughal era mosque in Lahore, capital of the Pakistani
province of Punjab. The mosque is located west of Lahore Fort along the
outskirts of the Walled City of Lahore. Badshahi Mosque was commissioned by
Emperor Aurangzeb in 1671, with construction of the mosque lasting for two
years until 1673. The mosque is an important example of Mughal architecture,
with an exterior that is decorated with carved red sandstone with marble inlay.
Mohatta Palace:-
The Mohatta Palace Museum is located in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. It was built
in the posh seaside locale of Clifton by Shivratan Chandraratan Mohatta, a Hindu
Marwari businessman from modern day Rajasthan in India, in 1927, as his
summer home. The architect of the palace was Agha Ahmed Hussain.However,
Mohatta could enjoy this building for only about two decades before
independence, after which he left Karachi for India.
Ocean Towers:-
Ocean Tower is a 120-metre-high (393 ft) skyscraper in Karachi. The project has
its own 5-megawatt powerhouse, as compared with the 2 MW- and 1.2 MW-
capacity powerhouses of MCB Tower and the Arif Habib Building respectively,
and it does not rely on KESC for power. The tower uses state-of-the-art
technology for monitoring heat and smoke. It has nine passenger lifts and five
cargo lifts.
Islamabad stock exchange tower:-
The Islamabad Stock Exchange Towers (also known as ISE Towers) are one of the
highrises located at 55, Jinnah Avenue of the Blue Area business district of
Islamabad. The airline Airblue has its head office on the 12th floor. The head
offices of the oil and gas exploration company OMV Pakistan occupies 15th
though 19th floor of the building.
MCB Tower:-
MCB Tower situated in Karachi, Pakistan is the headquarters of MCB Bank
Limited. It is the third tallest building in Pakistan. It is about 116 m (381 ft) tall
and contains 29 floors and 3 basement floors. Construction began in 2000 and
was completed in 2005. It was the tallest building in the country until 2012.
Sheesh Mahal (Lahore Fort):-
The Sheesh Mahal is located within the Shah Burj block in northern-western
corner of Lahore Fort. It was constructed under the reign of Mughal Emperor
Shah Jahan in 1631-32. The ornate white marble pavilion is inlaid with pietra
dura and complex mirror-work of the finest quality. The hall was reserved for
personal use by the imperial family and close aides. It is among the 21
monuments that were built by successive Mughal emperors inside Lahore Fort,
and forms the "jewel in the Forts crown.
WAPDA House:-
The WAPDA House is a nine-story office building located in Lahore, Pakistan, that
serves as the headquarters of the Water and Power Development Authority
(WAPDA). It is one of several prominent government buildings located at Charing
Cross on Lahore's Mall Road. The building shares views of the Punjab Provincial
Assembly, Islamic Summit Minar, Masonic Lodge, and other key landmarks.
