Lesson Description
I will start by talking about nouns with students and asking what they are. We will talk about what kind of nouns we use, talk
with, or go to in our day to day lives (sock, school, house, parents, spoon, etc.) After the students have an understanding of
nouns, the students will be given five popsicle sticks: three with nouns and two with words that are not nouns on them. They
will also receive clothespins with letters on them. With the popsicle sticks, the students will create the word on the popsicle
sticks that are nouns and will place the clothespins on the popsicle stick. The popsicle sticks that are not nouns will be left
blank. When the student is done constructing the noun words, I will check them. After I check them, if time permits, the
students will complete a coloring sheet based on nouns.
