In the students classroom, they are beginning a new
math concept - Number Sense. My site supervisor has
asked me to sit down with the student and help teach
him the new concept and help him complete the
worksheet the teacher has provided for him.
I am going to sit down with Child A and prompt him to
complete a worksheet that will focus on the new math
concept - Number Sense.The work sheet will help us
observe to see how much he knows and understands about
the concept. By helping him with this worksheet it will
help the teachers evaluate where he is at in his math
curriculum.
Objectives:
1. The worksheet will help staff to evaluate his
understanding of the new concept.
2. The worksheet will help introduce the new math
concept to Child A.
3. The worksheet will help the child learn a new math
skill as he completes each page.
Materials:
- Math worksheets on number sense
- Pencil
- Cube stackable blocks
Description:
1. I will set out the worksheet in front of the child.
2. I will explain the work sheet to him.
3. I will read/highlight the questions to the child and
prompt him to answer the questions.
