(1) Thickness is measured at any point across the width not less than 3/B inch from a cut edge and not less than 3/4
inch from a mill edge. The above table does not apply to the uncropped ends of mill edge coils.
(2) The specified thickness range captions noted above also apply when sheet is specified to a nominal thickness,
and the above tolerances are divided by 2 and are plus or minus.
Thickness: New tolerances when thickness is specified as nominal. (12 inches wide and over) (3)
(All material except BBA67A11, A22, 611, Nl 1, N22, N33, Rl 1, R22, Xl 1, X55)
(3) Thickness is measured at any point across the width not less than 1 .OOinch from AC edge. The above table does not
apply to the uncropped ends of non-temper rolled coils.
Thickness: New tolerances when thickness is specified as minimum. (12 inches wide and over) (4)
(All material except BBA67A11, A22, 611, Nl 1, N22, N33, Rl 1, R22, Xl 1, X55)
(4) Thickness is measured at any point across the width not less than 1.00 inch from AC edge. The above table does not
apply to the uncropped ends of non-temper rolled coils.

(15) Out-of-square is greatest deviation of an end edge from a straight line at right angle to a side and’touching one corner.
It is also obtained by measuring the difference between the diagonals of the sheet. Out-of-square deviation is one-
half of the difference.
