Product Group - Change
Definition:-

Following are essential master data which are to be created before the
SOP Process.

Product Group.

A product group combines other product groups and materials


according to whatever criteria best meet the needs of your
enterprise; for example, manufacturing procedure, product
design, or market niche.

Product groups are classified according to whether they are


mutli-level or single-level.

A product group is multi-level if it contains other product groups.


However, the lowest level in a product group hierarchy always
consists of materials.

A product group is single-level if its members are materials only.


A material or product group can be a member of more than one
owner product group.

Objective

It is required to create Product group. By following the steps given


below, one will be able to change product group.

Prerequisites:-

Authorization to change Product group.

Menu path

Logistics Production SOP MC85 Change


1. Press Twice Press MC86 Change.
2. Press Product group.

3. Maintain the following data:


Field Values
Name
Product Enter value in
group Product group.

Plant Enter the


number of the
Plant.

4. Press Enter.
Note: Changes can be made here according to the requirement.

Example:
5. Change the proportion for member as BLOW from 50 to 30

Note: You may distribute these proportions equally, if required.


For example:
6. From the SAP main menu, use the following menu path:
EditDistribute proportns.
Note: The system has automatically distributed the proportions.

7. You may make other changes, for example:
