Lesson Plan Title: 7th Grade- Pre Algebra Concepts

Concept / Topic To Teach: Simplifying expressions, Combining like terms, Factoring review.

General Goal(s): To provide the basis to prepare students for algebra.

Specific Objectives: Students will master simplifying expressions, combining like terms and

factoring.

Required Materials: Teachers laptop, projector, hand out to students with exercises.

Step Procedures: Explain the lesson to students. After each concept explained teacher will solve

two problems, then students will work independently. When they are done we will go over some

of the problems on the board for everyone to see.

Plan For Independent Practice: 20 minutes

Closure (Reflect Anticipatory Set): Remind students of homework packet with exercises for

practice.
