Submit the homework on neat plain papers. Do not use paper file/binding.

A variable r is defined as your roll number. For example if your registration number is 2013-
MCT-75, then r=75. Now calculate following variables using remainder division. Remainder
division gives remainder when a number is divided by other number. For example a%b means
remainder when a is divided by b. (Note that 3%10=3 not zero!)So you have to calculate
following:

= %2 = ( + 1)%2 = 2 (1) = (1) = %7

= ( + 0.5) = %10 = 1 + (||/10) = (%4) + 1 =

Task 1:
Write down following variables that you have calculated above:

a= ___________ b= ___________ c= ___________ d= ___________ e= ___________

Task 2:
Draw following function/signal:

1 3 1
1 2

() = ( 6)
2 6
2
0

Task 3:
For x(t) of Task 2, plot the function written below.

( + )
( + )

Clearly show all the steps to obtain the final output.

For Example:
If your registration number is 2013-MCT-75, then

= 75; = %2 = 75%2 = 1; = ( + 1)%2 = 76%2 = 0;

= 2 (1) = 2; = (1) = 1; = %7 = 75%7 = 5

= ( + 0.5) = 2(5 + 0.5) = 11; = %10 = 75%10 = 5;

= 1 + (||/10) = 1 + (|2| 5/10) = 2 ; !

= (%4) + 1 = (75%4 ) + 1 = 4; = = 4

So person with registration number 2013-MCT-75 will plot

( + )

Note: You have to calculate variables according to your registration number correctly. If you
face any problem you can contact me. But wrongly calculated variables will get zero credit even
if the plot is correct according to those variables. No excuse, logic or request will be accepted
for such cases. Secondly, dont just plot the final result; you have to show each step like
shifting, scaling, reversal etc. very clearly.
