The Mexican Day of the Dead
This holiday celebrates those who have passed away and is served as a day of remembrance. Families set up a shrine/alter to their dead loved ones for the entire month of October. On November 1st, they put food on the altar that the loved one enjoyed and then on November 2nd, the family members celebrate and eat. It is a day of celebration, not sadness!
