What exactly is your assignment
You will construct a simple drug profile where you must include the following
(contents 4.5marks):
1. Structure of drug
2. Physical and chemical properties
3. State the method used for the drugs assay in the British, American and European
pharmacopoeia(just the mention the name of the method; eg: chromatographic method, titration,
etc...)
4. Describe in detail a titrimetric method of analysis for the drug (More details must me included;
eg: titrant, endpoint color change, etc...)
5. Pharmaceutical Uses of the drug
6. The trade name of the drug in the market (with figure if possible)
Before you start the profile, include a short introduction on the type of titration discussed in detail;
eg: complexometric, acid-base, non-aqueous, etc.....)

Lab A: Theophylline
Lab B: Mefenamic acid
Lab C: Sodium chloride
Lab D: Silver nitrate
Lab E: Calcium carbonate
Lab F: Calcium Acetate
