in each country.

It is issued by an officially recognized authority and

serves as a standard reference for drug characterization,
testing and assay
You should know that quantitative determination of drugs is essential for quality
control purposes in drug factories, research, drug development, purity testing,
etc.....

Pharmacopoeias state the official method to determine the concentration of drugs.

Also analysts are continuously attempting to develop new methods and valid ones
are published in scientific journals.
 What exactly is your assignment
You will construct a simple drug profile where you must include the following
(contents 4.5marks):
1. Structure of drug
2. Physical and chemical properties
3. State the method used for the drugs assay in the British, American and European
pharmacopoeia(just the mention the name of the method; eg: chromatographic method, titration,
etc...)
4. Describe in detail a titrimetric method of analysis for the drug (More details must me included;
eg: titrant, endpoint color change, etc...)
5. Pharmaceutical Uses of the drug
6. The trade name of the drug in the market (with figure if possible)

Before you start the profile, include a short introduction on the type of titration discussed in detail;
eg: complexometric, acid-base, non-aqueous, etc.....)
