ABSTRACT
Hospital tracker application finds location & navigates you to the nearest Bank or HOSPITAL.
Get turn-by-turn directions to the nearest hospital. The Global Positioning System (GPS) is a
space-based satellite navigation system that provides location and time information in all
weather, anywhere on or near the Earth, where there is an unobstructed line of sight to four or
more GPS satellites. It is maintained by the United States government and is freely accessible by
anyone with a GPS receiver.
Get directions to the nearest Hospital by using GPS is easy to identify and can navigates to
nearest hospital. A GPS receiver calculates its position by precisely timing the signals sent by
GPS satellites high above the Earth. Each satellite continually transmits messages that include.
The receiver uses the messages it receives to determine the transit time of each message and
computes the distance to each satellite. These distances along with the satellites' locations are
used with the possible aid of trilateration, depending on which algorithm is used, to compute the
position of the receiver. This position is then displayed, perhaps with a moving map display or
latitude and longitude; elevation information may be included. Many GPS units show derived
information such as direction and speed, calculated from position changes.

PROPOSED SYSTEM:
Identifies location & navigates you to the nearest HOSPITAL. Get turn-by-turn directions
to the HOSPITAL. The Global Positioning System (GPS) is a space-based satellite navigation
system that provides location and time information in all weather, anywhere on or near the Earth,

The GPS (Global Position System) is a network that locates certain places here on earth
whereas the GIS (Geographic Information System) is a computer program that process data
linked to certain places or locations.
Advantage:
MODULES:
1. Connecting to GPS
In general, Bluetooth is used to connect GPS receivers to Windows devices. Compact
Flash and SD GPS receivers insert into standard slots on windows devices and built in
GPS receivers require no connection. USB GPS receivers usually come with a USB cable
permanently attached and connect to standard USB ports on window devices. In some
cases, you will need one or more of the following items to connect your external GPS
receiver to the mobile device being used to run ArcPad:
Determine what cables, adapters, and gender changers, if any, are needed to
connect your GPS receiver to the mobile device being used to run ArcPad.
Connect the GPS receiver to the mobile device.
Configure the GPS receiver.
Set the GPS Preferences in ArcPad.
2. Reset Module
Maps and GPS receivers show latitude and longitude angles. Maps usually show bold
lines marked in degrees (whole numbers) plus possibly intermediate lines marked 15, 30,
45 minutes or 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 minutes. GPS receivers typically show degrees plus
minutes and decimal fractions of a minute. e.g. 45 : 23.1234 You can normally alter the
display options on a GPS using the setup menu.
Latitude is used to express how far north or south you are, relative to the equator.
If you are on the equator your latitude is zero. If you are near the north pole your latitude
is nearly 90 degrees north. If you are near the south pole your latitude is almost 90
degrees south longitude shows your location in an east-west direction, relative to the
Greenwich meridian. Places to the east of Greenwich have longitude angles up to 180
degrees east.

Track a GPS enabled cell phone on Google maps. Project includes J2ME cell phone
source and source code to display data on your own website. Currently, the GPS will only
be useful to you to carry along to find out the latitude and longitude, and altitude. The
Web-based interactive digital maps use this technology, which also powers the 'Windows
Live Local mapping service,' so users do not need to download and install any software
to use the maps.
