SIMPLE FUTURE TENSE

Simple Future Tense is kinds of tense which tells about something is planned by
people in the future
The Functions of Simple Future Tense
We use the simple future tense to : 1). Predict a future situation, 2).Instant decisions.
Present Future Tense is followed by adverb of time such as :
Tomorrow : Besok Tonight : Nanti Malam
Next Month : Bulan Depan This Afternoon: Nanti Siang
Next Year : Tahun Depan Soon : Segera
Next Time : Lain Waktu Next Holiday : Liburan Depan
The forms of the simple future tense :
a. Nominal
Affirmative (+): S + will / shall + be + O/Comp
Example: I shall be happy next month.
She will be mine tomorrow.
Negative (-) : S + will / shall + not + be + O /Comp
Example: I shall not be happy next month.
She will not be mine tomorrow
Introgative (?) : Will / shall + S + be + O / Comp ?
Example : Shall you be happy next month ?

Will she be mine tomorrow ?

b. Verbal
Affirmative (+): S + will / shall + V1 + O / Comp
Example : I shall study hard next month.
She will work hardest tonight
Negative (-): S + will / shall + not + V1 + O /Comp
Example : I shall not study hard next month.
She will not work hardest tonight
Introgative (?): Will / shall + S + V1 + O / Comp ?
Example : Shall you study hard next month ?
Will she work hardest tonight ?
MODAL AUXILIARY VERB
A modal verb is also known as a helping verb. It gives additional information about the main
verb that follows it.

3. To express the promise
ex : I would like to marry you next year
4. To indicates polite request
ex : Would you like to buy my ticket, Mad ?

ex : Watch out the sky ! It is going to be cloudy tomorrow
2. To express a prior plan
ex : I am going to paint my bedroom next month

A. Definition
Descriptive text is genre of the text that writers try to describes the characteristics of a
person, place, or thing. It describes living and non-living things such as animals, towns,
buildings, etc.
B. Generic structures
1. Identification : writers introduces who, where, or what is being described.
2. Description : writers describes the characteristics, parts and qualities of the subject
being described.
C. Language features
1. Simple present tense
Examples : I have friend, she/he is , etc.
2. Nouns
Example : food, car, house, etc
3. Adjectives
Example : important, excellent, beautiful, etc.
4. Noun phrases
Example : white board, big class, small girl, etc.
5. Conjunction
Then, and, therefore, or, etc.

Announcement Is a short passage or short functional text that contains
information of facts, events or intentions, that written or spoken are presented to
the public. So people know what,when and where it is about.

1. Announcement function is printed to make know that has happened or what
will happen.
2. Announcements give information to do something for public, or just giving an
information to us just for knowing about something that what needs to be
announced.
