1 INTRODUCTION

1.1 OVERVIEW
Rolex is a Swiss luxury watchmaker. The company and its subsidiary
Montres Tudor SA design, manufacture, distribute and service wrist-
watches sold under the Rolex and Tudor brands. Founded by Hans
Wilsdorf and Alfred Davis in London, England in 1905 as Wilsdorf
and Davis, Rolex moved its base of operations to Geneva, Switzerland
in 1919.

Forbes ranked Rolex 64th on its 2016 list of the worlds most pow-
erful global brands.Rolex is the largest single luxury watch brand,
producing about 2,000 watches per day.

The company is owned by the Hans Wilsdorf Foundation, a family


private trust which does not pay corporate tax.

As of 2017 Rolex watches continue to have a reputation as status


symbols.According to the 2017 Brand Z report, the brand value is
estimated $ 8.053 billion.

1.2 MOTIVATION
Rolex started off just as any other start-up...small and looking to make it big.
It was the hardwork and dedication of its makers and founders that helped
it become the most stylised and iconic watch maker of this century and for
centuries to come. Our motivation to choose this topic comes from the fact that
hardwork can do wonders and leave impact on the world for ages to come.It is
truly motivating to see all of their amazing products hoping that one it would
be possible for us to be a part of this wonderful and evergrowing organisation.

1.3 OBJECTIVE
Our main objective to make a website on this topic was to help people recognise
the company and gain access to important information like prices,models etc.
The website is supposed to help people realise why Rolex is the best brand
when it comes to watches and hence should be preferred as their watches are
waterproof,stylish and backed up by famous celebrities!
