keys, many of which are very

at market price. (This hotkey will have the same function as clicking the BUY button in the
Level 2 window.)

Add your preferred trading functions to your trading platform

Custom Hotkeys allow you to add the power of lightning fast execution to your specific trading
strategy and style.

[ROUTE]; [TRADE VARIABLE/TRIGGER CONDITION]; [SHARE SIZE]; [ORDER]

(Does not apply to all hotkeys).
(Insure that the hotkey script components are separated using semi-colons).

The route dictates which Electronic Communications Network (ECN) your order is directed though.

The route is entered in the following format into the hotkey script:
Route=[Route Abbreviation][Order Type Abbreviation]
(e.g. NSDQL, meaning NASDAQ Long Position)

When trading stocks, there are two ECNs that the stock you are trading can be traded through;

- Archipelago Exchange for NYSE stocks. (ROUTE ABBREVIATION: ARCA).

- NASDAQ for NASDAQ stocks. (ROUTE ABBREVIATION: NSDQ).

There are three types of orders for stock trading:

- Limit (ABBREVIATION: L)
- Market (ABBREVIATION: M)
- Stop (ABBREVIATION: S)

The type of order is dependent on the overall function of the hotkey.

(E.g. When setting a trailing stop on a NASDAQ traded stock you will enter; NSDQS).

Stock Trading Routes:

Route Description Hotkey Format

NASDAQ stock, Limit Order Route=NSDQL
NASDAQ stock, Market Order Route=NSDQM
NASDAQ stock, Stop Order Route=NSDQS
NYSE stock, Limit Order Route=ARCAL
NYSE stock, Market Order Route=ARCAM
NYSE stock, Stop Order Route=ARCAS

The route dictates which Electronic Communications Network (ECN) your order is directed though.

When trading CFDs the route is always simply entered as CFDR.

Hotkey Format:
Route=CFDR

The order type is typed after the route in CFD hotkeys.

CFD Routes:

CFD Order type Hotkey Format

CFD Limit Order Route=CFDR; Order Type=Limit
CFD Market Order Route=CFDR; Order Type=Market
CFD Stop Order Route=CFDR; Order Type=Stop
CFD Stop Limit Order Route=CFDR; Order Type=StopLimit
CFD Trailing($)Order Route=CFDR; Order Type=Trailing($)
CFD Trailing(%)Order Route=CFDR; Order Type= Trailing(%)

This can be considered as the trigger condition of the trade.

These are important in insuring that the order is executed when and where you wanted it to.

Example:
You wanted to short AAPL at a $150 breakdown, and wanted to increase your chances of
entering the trade in your entry bracket.

You could use a hotkey with a trigger price of the current bid price, minus 0.01, to insure that you
get the best possible fill into your trade.

E.g. TriggerPrice=Bid- 0.01

To add to this, you could also add a limit price to your hotkey to insure that you dont get a fill post
a gap down or fast breakdown.

E.g. LimitPrice=Bid-0.1 (This will provide you with a 9 cent short bracket for you trade).

The combined hotkey variable would be;

TriggerPrice=Bid- 0.01; LimitPrice=Bid-0.1

(More trade variables will be discussed in the examples)

Share size format examples:

Share Size Description Hotkey Format

+400 shares Share=400
-400 shares Share=-400
Three quarters of Existing Position Share=3/4Pos
Half of Existing Position Share=1/2Pos
All of Current Position Share=Pos

Pos=Current Position

The order is simply entered as a BUY or SELL.

E.g. ; BUY

This is an example of
how hot buttons can
be personalised
in order to input share
sizes that are commonly
used by you and your
strategies.

3/4 partial points, hot

buttons were also
added to the hot
button bar in this
example.

While testing hotkeys insure to test hotkey functions with small share sizes to minimise a potential
loss due initial input and execution mistakes (or possibly test hotkeys on a demo platform).

Hotkeys are saved in the hotkey.cfg file in your platform software folder this allows for
sharing/copying hotkeys, also to; store and interchange between multiple hotkey settings.
