tour (Wake Up tour) and two domestic concerts (BTS Live Trilogy Episode I: BTS Begins, HYYH on stage)

general information about the releases, both Korean and Japanese (click on the album cover on the left to see the

the promotional MVs and information about it (trigger warnings are listed if they exist; views recent as of April 2016)
their b-sides
noteworthy information that happened during this era
Generally speaking, youll find that BTS talk about youth a lot. Since debut, its their goal to write lyrics people in their teens and
tweens can relate to - and throughout their discography, they have tackled school issues, bullying, relationships, social media,
mental health issues and generally struggles of all sorts.
They also talk a lot about themselves, such as how it is to be in the industry, their hometowns, their dialects, how cool they are
etc. Very rarely, they also address people (more on this part later) in their raps.
As a rule of thumb, their newer releases are much better than their older stuff, so do start with their later stuff if you havent
heard anything about them yet. Also, their b-sides are about them and handle the topics I listed above, so please listen to them
as well! Their entire discography can be found on Spotify (artist name BTS) and iTunes! (every link on k2nblog works as well,
in case you want to download)

Noteworthy info
As Suga has said as well, Dark&Wild is split into two parts (Interlude: What Are You Doing? as the
splitter): the Dark part is very gloomy in nature, as the Wild side tells a story about trying to get a girl.
This is an album with the most foreign producers working on it, arguably the release where the boys
experiment with all sorts of different genres (from rnb to slower tracks to classic coffee-shop music
in Rain), and also the album the boys worked on while filming their second reality show - American
Hustle Life (more on this later). Although the following albums are more liked in the fandom, this one is
my favourite for its experimental sound and coherency, so as a biased person: please do give
Dark&Wild a shot.
During this era, the boys also kicked off their first ever tour, BTS Episode II: The Red Bullet! It started
October 18, 2014 and lasted all the way to late 2015. Youll hear more of this later.
Like its titleWAKE UPsuggests, (the album) carries a feeling of awakening
and realisation. Along with the Japanese versions of our Korean songs, our
new album also includes many original Japanese songs. Because of that, I
believe it is an album that showcases a new side of BTS, and above all, one
that suits attuned to the sensibilities of our Japanese listeners. Weve also
infused our members personal styles and honest feelings as messages into the
album, so itll be great if fans can give the full tracklist a listen and get to know
our true selves and current emotions a little better.

Its a song which contains many thoughts of our Japanese fans. We heard
that there are many long distance relationships in Japan, so we used long

response to B-Free). Theres also his solo version of Converse High and a cover of Troye Sivans
Fools with Jungkook.
set JK: Jungkooks covers, all of which are more mellow in nature. I recommend Lost Stars!
Jins covers: Jin released two covers, Mom by Ra.D for Mothers day and I Love You.
Vs covers: V has covered Someone Like You from Adele and Hug Me featuring J-Hope.
Christmas Day: a duet by Jimin and Jungkook released in 2014 with the lyrics written by Jimin!

Basics
real name: Kim Seokjin
position: visual, vocals
d.o.b: 1992/12/04 in Gwacheon
blood type: 0
meaning of his stage name: The PD-nim said that a
one-character name is intense and so I chose to use the last
character of my name - Jin" - Cuvism Magazine, 2013
who he is: dubbed the mother, cook and pink princess of the
group, hes the undisputed actor and visual of the group. He
trended during MMA 2015 solely for his looks in Pann, earning
him the nickname Car Door Guy.
Reasons to love Jin
his voice is to die for (even more so live)
EatJin, where all he does is eating and hes funny and makes monster noises
how he joined BTS: the second member who joined BTS, Suga
auditioned normally in 2010. He originally wanted to become a
producer and thought that the group hed be in would be more
like 1TYM and less like an idol-group.
wrote 300 letters for ARMY on his own birthday because he felt apologetic for receiving their love
that one time he held his hands up when he heard the adhan (call to prayer)
pulls off every hair color (also complains about his scalp)
his vocals
dimples!!!!!
how he joined BTS: more like he was the reason BTS was made,
Rap Monster was known as Runch Randa underground and
quite famous for it. Originally, BTS was only him and Jung
Hunchul (now dropped out)
KimDaily (more for the aesthetic than the actual clothes, I admit)
Jimin
When I was little, I dreamt of becoming what I am right now, and I
am so very happy. And I want to be happier in the future.
Basics
name: Park Jimin
position: vocals, dance
d.o.b: 1995/10/13 in Busan
blood type: A
what his stage name could have been: Baby G, Baby J, Young Kid
(iZe Magazine 2013)
how he joined BTS: as the last member to join BTS in May 2012,
Jimin auditioned normally and had been a student in Busan
Arts School before auditioning. His training period was less
than a year and he didnt know until the end if hed debut with
the group.
who he is: the one who used to be in charge of the abs, now
mainly for dancing and high notes, Jimins most known and
appreciated in the fandom for his sweet and very charming
demeanor, although he describes himself as quite timid. He
co-hosts the nonsensical What Are 95z Doing with fellow 95
liner and best friend V.
Reasons to love Jimin
practices the most according to the members
very supportive of his members! hes the type to take one for the team
He went from someone who described himself as invisible to possessing massive stage presence
loves shading
V
Until the end, I want to become more and more successful with the
other members. And when we have finally made it, I want to be able
to look back and say This is how hard we have worked for this
Basics
real name: Kim Taehyung
position: visual, vocals
d.o.b: 1995/12/30 in Daegu
blood type: AB
meaning of his stage name: Six, Lex, V. Those three names were
suggested but the members and PD all said that V fit me the
best and so I picked V to stand for victory. - Cuvism Magazine,
2013
who he is: the second visual and soon to make his acting debut,
V is probably most known for both non-fans and fans alike for
his bubbly, kind of crazy personality. Although people call him
4D, he doesnt see it himself. He co-hosts What Are 95z Doing
with Jimin.
Reasons to love V
his crazy, yet warm and beautiful demeanor
his laughter
loves his parents so, so, so much (always goes out of his way mentioning them)
very determined
immensely competitive
although he doesnt show it, hes very caring towards both members and fans
They also love, love, love ARMYs. We talk about a group that dances randomly just for their fans,
steals the lightsticks, dont refuse giving autographs although in situations no one else would, and
dedicate an entire song to them. Aside always thanking in words and letters and whatnot, they also
always make a point thanking their international fans in English during award speeches.

Recommendations
What this section is about
So, now you know their songs, and got to know their members a little. Its time to see some of this in
practice too, though!
variety shows and all sorts of videos to get started (because once you do, its hard to stop)
personal favourite performances
popular fandom memes
This part is also still under construction, as I personally havent seen everything myself either! You
can find another recommendation list here, too.
Part 1 / Part 2
You can start with any of them, but the one on the
left is my favourite.
V App - OT7
Bangtans quite active on their V App! There are some live broadcasts, and also prerecorded shows, such as:
Bangtan Gayo: Here, the boys tackle one musical genre after the other, playing games and doing missions.
Run! BTS: More active than Bangtan Gayo, here they try out all sorts of things, such as bungee jumping, riding
rollercoasters and such.
Should you watch them? Definitely do, but dont make this your first. Maybe after you get to know the boys a
bit? You can totally watch this as first thing, though. Its perfect.
V App - Solo / Duo
The members also have their solo sections! They are either pre-recorded or actually live. As a general
rule, theyre funnier when you get to know the members.
What Are 95z Doing? (Jimin & V): Here they act out all sorts of skits with their dialect.
Hope On The Street (J-Hope): originally a blog series, J-Hope sometimes does some routine moves live.
The first Hope On The Street on V-App features Jungkook whereas the second features Jimin and V.
Rap Monster 1 Minute English (RM & Jungkook): Rap Monster teaches Jungkook some English with
varying success.
Eat Jin: Jin made some of the EatJins live on V App, but mentioned that he will continue the second
season on the blog as he didnt get the reception on V App he had hoped for.
Hwagae Market (Suga & J-Hope): This has absolutely no content, as confirmed by Suga and J-Hope
themselves. Still super fun though.
