GOAL

ItispossibletobootLinuxinrescuemodeusingtheinstallationmediaandbypassingthedisk.Duringtherescue
session,youcanchoosenetwork.Oncethesystemisup,youwillhaveaccesstothedisk.

Note:Inrescuemode,HDD/NICwillberecognizedbytherescuemodeOS,andtheycouldbedifferentfromthe
namesinnormalboot

SOLUTION

Followthebelowstepstobootinrescuemode:

1)BootfromtheLinuxInstallationMedia(thismayrequireyoutochangethebiostobootfromdvd)

2)ChooseRescueModebytypingthefollowingatthebootpromptandpressing<Enter>:
