E-Book #1 of the Pro Research Series

More E-Books in the Works.
Due to other Projects like prosinglesclub.com and Other E-Books. This is most
Likely My final Update for this guide.

Introduction:
1st of all I would like to thank you for purchasing our guide from
eBay/runetown.com. This will be the best money Making guide to hit the web.
This guide is definitely worth every penny you've spent on it. In this guide I
will tell you all my secrets to making money. I have many ways whether you're
a high level player or a low level player.

This Guide will be updated at least once a month, so please keep checking back
for updates. I will show you the big secrets of merchantism, starting a business,
making money off your skills, Dueling, and pking.

It may take a little time to get some seed starting cash, but at full speed in less
than one week you could be banking in profits of 500k per hour. There are
times where you have to be patient, and you might get frustrated at times, but
stay in there and you will be successful.

To be a successful millionaire you will have to put in a little bit of effort and
never give up. Giving up will only make it worst for you. Be sure to learn your
prices so you don't get ripped off.
I have used all theses ways to make me money, nothing will be left out. All my
dirty little secrets are here in this guide.

Getting Started:
You're probably asking yourself, How do I get started making millions? I am so
excited about this guide. I will show you 2 good ways to get your 1st 100k
which is a good way to get starting pay. You don't even need any items to get
started.

Lvl 3 Noobs: This is the quickest way and the most efficient way for you to get
your 1st 100k. Yeah you probably seen those other guides that told you to pick
bananas or to buy rune essences that are impossible to buy at 10 each.

The best thing to do is to kill chickens, you're probably laughing right now, but
this is it. Go kill chickens and collect the feathers. Each chicken will drop 5 to
15 feathers. Feathers currently sell for 10-15 gc each. So you will get 50-225
gold coins for each chicken you kill. Below is a list of the possible income for
each chicken Killed.

5 feathers = 50-75 gold coins

10 feathers = 100-150 gold coins
15 feathers = 150-225 gold coins

Since feathers keep adding up and only take up 1 space in inventory there is no
need to be running to the bank. You can easily get 10,000 feathers in 5 hours
work by killing 650-2000 chickens. Once you have 10,000 feathers, then you
can sell them off by looking for a buyer in the runescape forums. You will get
somewhere between 100k to 150k for your 10,000 feathers.

You could also shear sheep to get 1000 wool and to craft them into balls of
wool which sell for 100 each if you sell them in bulk. Get 1,000 of them if you
choose this way. Takes a long time to do, So I recommend the chickens.

Low lvl players: Do the same thing as above, and also while you are there buy
some feathers from other players. Buy them for 1-3 gc each. A lot of people
will sell them for that price. Once you reach 10,000 feathers, then sell off your
feathers by looking for a buyer in the forums.
High lvl players: You know what to do. Use your best skill to make a 100k. Do
it by fishing lobsters or mining coal or iron ore till you reach 100k. Or you can
also kill chickens.

You don't necessarily have to start out with 100k. 50k will be fine but 100k is
better.

Congratulations you now have 50-100k and are now ready to become a
runescape merchant millionaire.

Ways to Make Money:

• Merchantism:
This is how a lot of players in runescape make their quick millions.

Question: What is Merchantism?

Answer: Merchantism is the act of making profits, by simply buying items real
cheap and selling for higher prices.

• Merchantism tips and tricks:

• Always keep a good amount of cash on hand, Only spend about 1/3rd to
1/2 of your current money for the merchandise you're going to sell. You
just might see a good deal while you are selling.
• Start out by only merchanting 5 to 6 items at a time.
• Buy in Bulk and sell in bulk. Be sure to buy stuff low and sell high.
• Selling in the game can take a while. For bulk items use the forums for
buyers. If you are a member then make a post on the bulk items you are
wanting to sell. You usually always get a buyer for ores and bars within
5-10 minutes from a forum posting.
• Avoid scams at all costs. Many merchants get scammed easily. I even
got scammed myself. Be sure to always double check the last trade
window before making a trade. If the deal sounds to good to be true then
stay away or approach with caution.
• Be firm on your prices, many players try to talk you into lowering prices.
Be firm and walk away a couple steps, there is a 75 percent chance that
he'll give in and buy your items.
• To make quicker cash by merchantism do bulk trades or high priced
items over 100k
• Always keep a calculator at hand!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

• Hot items and biggest profit items for merchantism:

• One of the biggest profit items is Iron ore. Buy iron ore for around 25 to
50 gold coins each. This is very easy to buy and is very plentiful. ( My
dirty little secret: I hire iron miners and pay them 35 each. I currently
have 15 iron miners that bring around 25,000-50,000 iron ore per week. I
pay them their paychecks each Friday. So If I get 40,000 iron ores that
week I end up paying my miners 1.4 million gold coins for 40,000 iron
ore at 35 gold coins a piece. I then take all the iron ore and sell it for 100
each to other players. So 40,000 times 100 each equals 4 million gold
coins. So I just Profited 2.6 million gold coins from my 15 miners.) Once
you get heaps of iron ores, then sell them for 100 gold coins each.
• Steel bars is still hot now. Try to buy these for around 250-350 each and
resell these for 500 to 600 gold coins each.
• Coal is also a hot item, and the fallowing ores, iron ore, coal, silver,
gold, mith, addy and rune. All these bars are also hot.
• You can also get huge profits from rare holiday drops if you can find
good deals.

To get started in merchantism find about 5-6 hot items you would like to buy
cheap and resell for higher profits. World 1 market is a good place to sell your
items. This place is also full of scammers so be careful. Buy all your items in
other worlds, try not to buy items in world 1 due to the heavy amount of
scammers. This guide also contains a street price guide on most runescape
items.

When I was a low level player about a year ago, I started merchantism once I
was able to go to the champions guild. I had purchased rune maces for 14.5 k
each and resold them to lvl 30-40 players for 18-25k each. After this I got
hooked and started on other items. Use items that you are very familiar with
and stay away from items you don't have much knowledge of. Once you get to
know the low and high prices of items, then you will start making more and
more money and you can add in more items to merchantism. Always sell your
items in notes. Weapons and armor will be ok not to sell in notes.

Congratulations!!!! You now know the basics of Merchantism and can now
make your millions in no time.
• Starting a Runescape Business:
If you get bored from Merchantism then you can successfully run a runescape
steel bar making business. This Business will bring great wealth to you and
your miners. I currently pay my miners for this business, 150 per coal and 75
per iron ore. So it costs me 375 per steel bar to make. Once I make the Bars I
then sell them to other players for 600 each per steel bar. Sometimes 500 each.
I easily generate profits of 2-3 mil each week running this business. If you are a
member then you can also make cannonballs and sell them for 200-250 each.
Each bar produces 4 cannonballs. So if you make these you will get 800-1000
gc per steel bar which will mean a profit of 425-625 per steel bar. If you just
sell the bars after making them then your profit will be 125-225 per bar. You
can easily make 25,000 bars in a week. So you will bank in profits between
3.12 mil to 15.65 mil depending on whether you make cannonballs or just sell
the bars. I make balls and sell my bars, I generate between 3-6 mil a week
running this business. Do not buy your bars, otherwise it wont be a business.
Make your bars so you can pay miners a weekly check. Also offer bonuses to
your top miners. The more ores you can get and make into bars, the more
sucessful your runescape business will be. If you have trouble selling your bars
then look in the forums for buyers or make a post.

• Using Skills:
Mining - Mine heaps of ores, iron and coal is best. 5-10 gc per tin and copper.
75-100 gc per iron ore. 100-250 gc per silver ore, 150-300 per gold ore, 100-
200 per coal, 350-450 per mith ore, 800-1000 per addy ore and rune ores are 8-
10k each.

Smithing - Bronze bars 25 each, iron bars 100 each, steel bars 500-600 each,
silver bars 200-300 each, gold bars 250-400 each, mith bars, 900-1200 each,
addy bars 1500-3000 each, rune bars 10-15k each.

Magic - Make things from fletching and smithing and high alch them for quick
cash.

Combat - Fight High level monsters, lesser demons and other higher lvls. Or
for low lvls kill chickens for feathers. If you are a high lvl, then go fight the
new lvl 333 monster in Shantey's Pass, Once in a while He will drop Dragon
Chains, which bring in 40-100 mil just for the chain. So far about 3 people got
one. Who will be next?
Fishing - Fish lobbies, swordies, tuna, sharks, and bass. 100-250 per lobby,
200-300 per swordie, tunas get around 50 each, sharks fetch 600-800, and bass
are around 250-300. Bass heal more than lobsters but are members only along
with sharks.

Crafting - Make items from crafting and sell them for high prices. I personally
don't do much crafting.

Thieving - Go steal stuff, ( My Dirty Little secret, You can also get rich from
silk, have 5 of your good buddies steal silk for you and have them trade you
their silk. Once they trade you, sell your silk to the silk merchant for 60 gold
coins each. Once you sell them your friends will have another load ready, keep
repeating this and you can easily make a mil in 4-6 hours. You get around 1620
gold coins per each load of silk you sell to the merchant. With 5 friends they
will get you around 2 loads per minute. You're friends will get the thieving xp
and you will get the cash. I guess this is why I only have lvl 16 thieving, and
they are up to 70 already. So you will get 3240 gc per minute, and around
194,400 Gold coins per hour. So at this pace for 5 hours you will get 972,000
gold coins.) You will have to be a member to do this. The silk stall is located in
Ardougne. A lvl 3 noob that's a member can do this.

Fletching - My favorite skill - I make addy arrows and sell them for 150 each, I
also make yew shorts and longs and Hi Alch them for cash. I can make an easy
1-2 mil a day with this skill. You can also make arrow shafts and sell them for
10-15 gold coins each.

Woodcutting - 10-20 gold coins for regular logs, 20 for oak logs, 15-50 gold
coins for willows, 100 gold coins for maples, 300 gold coins for yews, and 1k
for magic logs.

Dancing - Lol you can always get 1 gold coin for doing a good dance, although
this is not a skill, I just thought I'd throw in some humor here.

• Dueling:
I have a friend that does a lot of dueling in duel arena, You place bets and the
winner of the duel will get the items. You can get rich from dueling and you
can also lose a lot of money from dueling. My friend even dueled for party hat
sets, drag mediums and other goodies. He has a good dueling account, and can
make an easy 2-3 mil a day from dueling people. Duel Arena is located out in
Al Kharid. You must be a member to enter the gates. Many people here will
stake for 100k even up to a mil at a time. I will have a duel Guide in the future
on the website for $6.95, so look for it shortly, as I am still getting good tips
from my high lvl friend.

• Pking in the wildy:

I also make good money from pking people in the wildy, I am a lvl 72 ranger
with 81 combat, and I make a lot of kills in the wildy. So far my best pk was
for a dragon medium helm which I cashed in for 2.4 mil. I even got over 25
rune scimis, about 15 rune 2h's, tons of runes and a bunch of other goodies. Just
try to avoid the large clans, I one time walked into a big clan of like 50 people
all lvl 90-100's. So be careful. Good thing I had my ring of life and didn't lose
anything. If you don't have a skull then wait for people to pk you 1st. Also only
pk people with skulls, so they will lose all their items. I like to kill people that
are weak and poisoned.

• Misc. Ways to make a quick buck:

Here are some other money making tips to make a quick buck.

If you are a member another good way to make money is to buy and sell
cannons. You can easily buy cannons for 500-550k and easily sell for 600-650k

If you have 32 quests points and is able to get into the champions guild, then
you can buy Rune maces there for 14.5k and resell to lvl 28-43 combat fighters
for 18-25k each

Most of the time I am in Al Kharid smelting Steel bars. I always make at least
an extra 10k a day from selling 3 air runes to people for 1k. People Don't want
to walk and they will pay 1 k for 3 air runes so they can teleport to their Next
destination. I also sell a lot of Law runes for 1k each also. These can be
purchased from the Wizards Guild for 240 each. You can also get from fighting
the lvl 7 wizards in Varrock.

Quests Items: You can also get good money from people who are in the middle
of a quest and quickly needs something.

Examples. Burnt Meat from which's potion quest. 1k each.

Bead sets 2-4k
3 Goblin plate bodies 3-5k
silver bars 1k each
Planks 500-1k each
Plus many other stuff for quest items. Simple quest items usually sell for 1k
each. But you will only get these prices from people who are in the middle of a
quest.

You can also walk around the dragons and pick up the dragon hides as people
fight them. Just stay back a little and be careful. Most people are there to level
up and don't pick them up. Dragon hides sell for 1.5k to 3k each depending on
the color.

Other ways to make money is to check the general Stores. Everytime I go to

Varrock General Store on world 20, I always see heaps of coal for like 25 gc
each, and Iron ore for 5 gc each. Buy them up to resell later.

Investing your Money:

• What To Buy:
Rare holiday drop items are the best things to invest your money in. Odds are
that if you have money then you will want to spend it like mad. Spend it on
Halloween Masks, Party Hats, Easter Eggs, Christmas Crackers, Half wine
jugs, Pumpkins, Disk of returnings, etc. These items are always going up in
price and the best items are masks and the party hats.

• What Not to buy:

Stay away from the new novelty items, like the trimmed armors and godly
armors, I also have the other novelty items in the Non Rares/Rares price guide
below. These items are rapidly dropping in price and will always drop in price
as long as runescape is around. At the continued rate these items will only be a
little bit more than the regular sets a year from now.

simply browse the forums to look for buyers and add them to your contact list.
You could also check runescape websites, that offer player guides for free,
some of these sights might have forums.

You can also hop around the banks and the various market places in runescape.

Pro Research's Runescape 2 Quick Level Combat
Guide Using Melee
( This guide will get you to lvl 45 combat in 2-4 days. )
( It's Possible to get this in 15 hours. The effort Depends on you. )
( New Guide Created Sept. 2nd, 2004 )

Thank You for buying my guide, you made the right choice in choosing this
guide. I will show you how to quickly level up
from a level 3 noob to level 45 combat skills in 2-4 days. We will only use
melee attacks for this guide.

The very 1st thing you want to do is go to East Varrock Bank, and across the
street is a place to practice on dummies. Keep attacking the dummy till you
reach lvl 8 attack. That is the max that they allow. You can go from lvl 1
attacking to 8 in less than 15 minutes. Once you reach 8 attack from the
dummies then you should be around lvl 5-6 combat, Now it's time to go to
Lumbridge and kill lvl 2 goblins.

If your combat lvl is between 3 and 15 then you want to start out on the lvl 2
goblins that hang around Lumbridge. You have 2 good spots to quickly leveling
up your character, look at the pics to help you find the spots. One is behind
the lumbridge Castle and other is beside the bridge.
The bottom pic is the better spot, just close the doors and quickly drop as
many goblins as u can as they respawn. Fisher's are usually out back and are
always giving away free fish to let you heal. Don't worry if you die, you'll
easily make it back in no time.

Best thing to do is work on getting up your strength, you already got 8

attacking from the dummies. Select the 2nd option in your weapon tab, and
lvl up your strength to at least 22 by quickly dropping the lvl 2 goblins, this
should take you about an hour or 2. Now do defense and quickly get it up to
5. and then do attack and get that up to lvl 10. Once you do all that then
you'll be around lvl 16 combat.

Now that you have lvl 16 combat, now it's time to head to Fallidor,
where you'll lvl up to 25 combat at the goblin village. If your combat
lvl is already between lvl 15 and 25 then this is where you want to go
train at. The goblin village is located North and slightly west of
Fallidor. At this point you will also want to bring food. Also if you
can afford it get full steel armor and a black or steel weapon.
Here is a good chance to work on defense and attack some more.
Get your attack to 20 and defense to 20, and strength to 25 here.
Once you do that you'll be around combat lvl 25-26. This should
take no more than 2 hours to complete. Once done your combat
skills should look like this.
Once again if you have the money it's time for another Upgrade.
Get full mith armor and a mith scimi or your favorite mith weapon.
Once you have upgraded then travel to Dwarven Mines where we will
fight lvl 10 dwarfs. Anyways at this point you will want to work on
strength 1st. You will want to get it up to 35. Once you do that then
get defense and attack to lvl 30.

This outside part to the entrance of the mines is the best spot. Fighting
here for 3-5 hours will get u close to lvl 40.

Another picture 2 hours later.

So after about 8 hours of fallowing this guide you should already be around
lvl 34 combat from a lvl 3 noob.

Work here another hour or 2 and get your combat skills to 30 attack, 35 str.
and 30 defense.
Congrats!!! After about 9-10 hours of long hard work you are now at lvl 37
combat. Reward yourself with another armor upgrade, This time get full
Addy armor with an Addy Scimi or Addy Battle. We will now Move on to our
next opponent and get our combat lvl to 42.

Our next opponent will be the lvl 14 scorpions out in the desert in Al Kharid.
We will fight here till we reach combat lvl 42-43.

The mines here are filled with them and is a good place to train. If it gets
too crowded here then go back to the lvl 10 dwarfs.

After about another 2-3 hours of more Combat you be at 42 combat and
your stats should look similar to below.
At this point in the guide you should have gotten to lvl 42 combat in about 12
hours from lvl 3 if you were to play it straight through. Or if you're a normal
Runescape player you'll be at this point near the end of your 2nd day.

You can keep fighting here to get to lvl 45, or move To the Black Night's
Fortress and fight the lvl 20 Fortress Guards. It should take you another 2-
4 hours to go from lvl 42 to 45 combat. At this point you can decide if you
want to favor attack, strength or defense. Also keep in mind the quickest
way to achieve your goal and combat lvl is to keep fighting stuff you can
quickly Drop, Stay in between 1/3 to 1/2 of your current Combat lvl.

Thank You for Buying my guide.

www.runetown.com
Thank You for purchasing my quick level Magic guide from eBay. In this
guide I will show you how to quickly get to lvl 40 magic in less than 12
hours.

1st thing you want to do is to purchase a lot of Mind Runes, some air runes,
water runes, fire runes, and earth runes, etc. Later on you will also want
chaos runes and then soul runes if you can afford them. Also be sure to get
all 4 element staffs to save you on runes.

The best place to go and level up is on the 3rd floor in the Wizard Tower, just
south of draynor village. At the very top floor you will see a lvl 81 lesser
Demon inside a cage.

If you are level 1 then keep casting wind strike on the lesser demon until you
reach lvl 5.
If you are lvl 5 then cast water strike until you reach lvl 9.
Once you reach lvl 9 then cast Earth Strike until you reach level 13.
At level 13 cast fire strike until you hit lvl 17.
Once you’re at lvl 17 you will need to get chaos runes.
At lvl 17 cast wind bolt until you reach lvl 23.
At level 23 you will then cast water bolt til you get to lvl 29.
At level 29 cast Earth Bolt til you get to level 35. At 35 Just keep hitting the
caged demon with Fire Bolts until you reach level 40.
All you do is keep hitting the caged demon at the above levels to quickly
level up. You can easily do it in 1 day if you have full supply of runes.
If you can afford soul runes you can quickly hit lvl 60 also.
Runescape - Thieving Guide
Thieving is a Members skill.

Thieving is a skill that you can earn items and money from. You can thieve in many
ways, from pick pocketing people, picking locks on chests, to stealing from stalls, and
disarming traps to get to different areas.
Pick pocketing can be used on many non-playing characters, from a man all the way to a
hero. You cannot pickpocket other players. Lock picking doors can help you get into
secret rooms with treasure, though getting to the treasure may not be as easy as you
thought. You may have to disarm traps in places like a staircase, chests, among other
things to get to the treasure. Starting Thieving at level one will require pick pocketing a
man until your level gets higher.

Picking Pockets

To pickpocket someone, all you have to do is right click on the non-playing character
(NPC) and choose the "Pickpocket" option. There is a chance that the NPC you are trying
to pickpocket will catch you and attack you, thereby stunning you. The higher your
Thieving level, the better your chance of successfully pick pocketing.

Stealing From Stalls

There are now more stalls in Ardougne’s Market Square.

To steal from market stalls go to Ardougne (that is the only place that has a bunch). Right
click on a stall and use the "Steal from" option. If when stealing from a stall you fail, the
stall owner may just yell at you, or a Guard, Knight or Paladin will attack you. The more
valuable the products on the stall are, the more people who watch it. You are better off
waiting until they are either dead or distracted with somebody else (if you can not kill
them yourself).

Trap Disarming

Certain objects such as chests and stairs have traps on them. To find a trap, all you need
to do is right click on the chest and see if there's an option to "search for traps." If you
choose not to disarm a trap then you receive damage to your hit points. If you have a high
enough thieving level then you will be able to disarm it. Traps will reset after a certain
amount of time.

Thieving From Chests

Within the world of thieving, you will find many chests that you can disarm and retrieve
treasure. These chests vary in treasure from gold coins, steel arrowheads, Nature Runes,
Blood Runes, and even Adamantite ore.

Lockpicking

For some doors in Runescape, you may have to pick their locks to open them. To pick a
door's lock, simply right click on it and then select the picklock option. As your level
increases in thieving, you will be able to access places you couldn't have gone before.
The doors will eventually re-lock so you can pick them again.

To get the Lockpick you have to pickpocket Rogues in the Wilderness until you get one.
You can use this lockpick for areas in the Wilderness or other places that require it. A
lockpick will also make opening locked doors an easier task.

The Strategy

Skill:
The best bet on pickpocketing an enemy is to pace yourself and not pick an enemy
quickly but in a peaceful way. This will help you, and you'll get caught even less.
Pressing "Pick Pocket" on a character twice in quick succession will almost always result
in getting caught. As you gain levels, you’ll be able to have more consecutive successes.
Also, if you thieve from behind, they are not looking at you and so you may have a better
chance of success.

Equipment:
So you're fully equipped in full Rune with a Dragon Battle Axe and Rune Plate?

It's best you do not Thieve with plate and a weapon until you reach Paladins who are
combat lvl 53. Some people have different strategies on thieving. One is, if you're 40
Defense, wear gloves, Rune Chain or even an Ammy and no weapon. Others are no
armor but for gloves, boots and an ammy, and some prefer some armor to help protect
them.

Also, bringing a good amount of food with you will help. If you are caught, you will be
stunned and have damage dealt to you.
Lock Picks:
It's best to get a Lockpick before you start picking door locks. Head to lvl 54 Wild and
pickpocket a Rogue (Lvl 21 ). You'll need lvl 32 Thieving for this (you'll get 35.5 XP,
and a possibility of different rewards per attempt). So you might need to pick from them
a few times before getting a lockpick. Or you can ask players to sell you a lockpick. They
usually sell for 1k from Players; not bad.

Types of Thieves

The Bad Thief:

Nothing is more annoying than a thief thieving the character you are stealing from. So a
Thief (or player) has stolen your area and killed the character(s) you were busy practicing
on? You're a Thief and you don't have to put up with it! This is where the skill Ranging
and your weapon comes in. One of the best ways to run off an annoying player is to get a
high range level (45+) and Range the crap out of him/her. Or you can use your strength
and kill off their enemies. This may seem mean but they never read the strategy of the
good thief.

However, since you only get stunned when you are caught now, stealing from the same
person isn’t a problem anymore. It’s just considered good manners to keep with your own
man if possible. The only thing you need to look out for are other players coming to your
thieving area and killing off all the characters.

The Good Thief:

Use good manners. Nothing is wrong with being polite.

Thieve only the characters you get to first; don't be rude and go after another player's
character. It's an online game and you need to try to stay polite and work on the men
without getting frustrated and then killing them off. If this is done to you though, read
above you mad man! ^_^

It’s much easier and more rewarding to be a good thief. Others become more willing to
take turns at chests and stalls when you are polite.

The Thieving
~For the Best and Quickest Results, Take Route A.

Lvl 1 – 5. Route A - Getting Started:

To get started in Thieving you need to thieve Man (Lvl 3 ) only, which will give 8
experience with each pick and 3 coins. The best thing to do is to thieve until Lvl 5. Best
location - Thieve Man In The Middle of Falador. Edgeville has a house with several men
inside.

Lvl 5 - 25. Route A – Baker’s Stall:

Once you hit Level 5 Thieving its time to ditch Men and head to Ardougne. Cakes give
16 XP (Experience) and a cake of course, can be eaten. Cakes are pretty much an easy
food source, and once you get to lvl 25 Thieving, you'll have a lot of Cakes to live off of
(as well as Meat Pies, Chocolate cake slice and bread).

How this stall (and the others) work is you must hide to the side where the Stall owner
and the Guards can't see you easily. Then quickly steal a cake before it's too late. Do this
till Lvl 25 Thieving or take Route B...

Lvl 10 - 25. Route B - Farmers:

After picking men till you are lvl 10, it’s time to thieve from farmers. These men are
located all over RS near fields and animals. One place to go is to Ardougne. Head north
toward the Fishing Competition and once in Hemming, there should be some small
buildings located along the road. One of the buildings has an upstairs. When you get
there, you'll find two Farmers (Lvl 15 ) and a bed. Farmers might be harder and will
slower to achieve lvl 25 than cakes are. Farmers give you 14.5 XP and 9 Coins a pick
(cakes are 16xp) and you must be lvl 10 Thieving to pick 'em. Best location - Fishing
Competion Building Upstairs (unsure of exact locale).

Lvl 25 - 40. Route A - Warrior's:

Warriors come in two versions: male (in Al Kharid) and female (Ardougne).

The best path to take, if you're higher than lvl 40 Combat, would be the females, which
can be found in and around Ardougne Market. If you're low lvl combat, then I'd suggest
thieving the male versions in Al Kharid. Both will give you 26 XP per pick and 18 coins
each time. Do this until you are Lvl 40 Thieving, then its time to head to a very important
point in Thieving.

The males are in Al Kharid’s castle and the bank isn’t too far away. You can get a few in
a room and close the door (that way they won’t walk too far away).

Lvl 40 - 65/70. Route A - Guards:

Guards are very important to becoming a Lvl 70 Thief. You may not think so but I
recommend you Thieve until lvl 70 on Guards only. Why? Because after awhile it'll get
easier and easier to thieve Guards. Guards give 30 coins and 46.5 XP a pick. After awhile
of Thieving 30 Coins a pick will become rewarding and you will make over 300 - 400K
off Guards until you reach Lvl 70.

The best place to Thieve Guards would be either Falador Exits or outside Varrock Castle.
It'd be wise to thieve Guards outside Varrock Castle in the early mornings as it's rare to
see a soul walk past.

Lvl 65 - 70. Route B - Yanille Watchman:

When you hit Lvl 65 Thieving and you have 42 agility, then it's recommended to Thieve
Yanille Watchman until Lvl 70 Thieving. To find the Watchmen you must head to the
tower post at the northern wall of Yanille to the west. When you're Lvl 42 Agility, climb
up the handholds. Yanille Watchman will give you an impressive 138 XP per pick, 60
Coins and a Loaf of Bread (you can still thieve them with a full pack; the bread will fall
to the ground). The xp will also help you gain levels more quickly than on guards alone.

Lvl 70 - Beyond. Route A/B – Paladins/ Paladin Chest:

A: Your best bet for Lvl 99 Thieving is Paladins, a very profitable and easy-earning XP
opponent. Head to the castle in Ardougne. You can either thieve them on the Castle
grounds or head upstairs to the Paladin Tower. Once upstairs, use your pick to pick the
door; inside will be over 5 Paladins (Lvl 53 ). These guys give a impressive 151.75 XP
per swipe, 80 gps and 2 Chaos Runes.

It's recommended you use your weapon and Plate on these guys, even if you're Lvl 70 to
78 or so on. Bring lots of food with you (preferably swordfish as the 3 or 4 point dmg per
time caught adds up quickly).

B: Once you reach Lvl 72 Thieving, thieve from the chest that is in the same tower as the
Paladins. You will be magically transported out of Ardougne to the East, just outside of
the wall. You will take with you however, 500 XP, an Uncut Sapph, 1000 gold coins, an
Addy Ore, and an uncooked Shark.

THE PROFITS
~Thieving is by far the best overall profit-making skill, unless you're lvl 99 Smithing.
And why else would you thieve? Why to make money of course! Below is a quick guide
on how to become rich off certain Thieving skills, from best to worst.~

Lvl 59. Route A - Chaos Druid Tower AKA Blood Runes:

Once you hit Lvl 59 Thieving and want to make the big bucks, I suggest you head to the
Chaos Druid Tower in Ardougne. There you'll need to pick the lock on the Tower door
(Pick Pocket Suggested; Read Strategy for help).

Once inside, go down the ladder and follow the cavern till you make it to a room full of
Ogres (about 8 lvl 43s ). If you're not strong enough, wait for the Chests to recharge.
Then when you check the traps, you'll get 500 Coins and 2 Blood Runes at which point,
you’ll be warped to a building nearby. Quickly head back and do it again to the next
Chest, and you'll double it.

For one thing, you just got 4 very powerful Runes you can up your Magic with, or you
can sell those 4 for 4k, that's 5k in less than a minute. Keep doing this and in about one
and a half to two hours, you'll have 200 Blood Runes and 50k from the two chests. Sell
each rune for 1k and you'll have earned a quarter of a million in one night of Chest
thieving. Another good strategy if you're not looking for money, but other Runes, is to
thieve Bloods and trade them for Deaths or other runes from other players. I've seen
many do this.

Lvl 70. Route B - Thieving Paladins AKA Chaos Runes:

The next best thing is Thieving Paladins which is by far the best way to get XP in all of
Thieving, and still very profitable. With every pick, you'll get 80gps and 2 Chaos Runes.
So here’s the scoop: you can sell each Chaos Rune for 300gp to buyers and so just thieve
1000 of those suckers. 1k may seem a lot, but it only takes 2 nights or even 1 night of
Paladin thieving if you don't get on as much like myself.

After you get 1000 you can sell that 1k for a nice chunk of cash, 300k. Now from
thieving you'll have made 80k from the gold and 300k in Chaos Runes in just a few
nights. That's an easy 380k.

Lvl 28. Route C - Nature Runes:

Natures are a quick way to get rich without even having a very high level. Head to the
building next to the Baker’s Stall and picklock the door (having a picklock is
recommended). Then head up the stairs to the second floor and you'll find two Chests; the
one on the right is the Nature Chest. It recharges quickly, so you'll have 100 Nats in no
time if you're alone. It also gives you 25 xp and 3 coins. The chest next to it gives you 50
Coins and 125 XP (but you'll need lvl 43 for that).

Once you get 1000, sell them for 400 - 500gp each; that's a nice 400 - 500k. It's suggested
you thieve 100 a day, so you don't tire yourself. Use this as a side job that earns a nice
reward.

The Skill Helper

How will Thieving help your skills?
Well, below is a guide that includes most skills and what Thieving might do for them.

Magic:
Nothing is more affected by Thieving than Magic; once you get really going on Thieving
you'll be able to get really good Runes, and high amounts of them. Please see The Profits
for more information.

Training - All:
Fighting training is affected by a lot by Thieving - more than you would think. To
decrease the amount of damage you receive from being stunned, some are inspired to
increase their defense levels. Also, to help protect themselves from people watching the
stalls (and Random Events), many increase each of their combat levels.

Smithing - Lvl 50, 72:

To help your Smithing from Thieving, get level 50 and steal silver ore. You can smith
these into bars. At lvl 72 Thieving, head to the Paladin Tower and thieve the chest to
receive Addy Ore.

Crafting - Lvl 50, 72, 75, 80:

Once you hit Lvl 50 Thieving you can head to Ardougne and thieve the Silver Stall for
Silver Ore. Getting into the 70's of Thieving has a very big reward for crafting gem-
related items. At Lvl 72 you can thieve the chest in the Paladin Tower and receive an
Uncut Sapphire gem. When you Hit Lvl 75, you can get the most from thieving relating
to Crafting; in Ardougne you can thieve from the Gem Stall. There, you will receive any
uncut gem except a Dragon Gem. You'll usually receive a Sapphire, but sometimes you’ll
get an Emerald. Uncommon is the Ruby and rare is a Diamond. Another way to get
Diamonds would be when you become Lvl 80 Thieving. You can thieve Heroes, which
are located in Ardougne. You'll get a Diamond at times. Gnomes, when you’re lvl 75, can
sometimes give Gold Ore and at other times, a Fire Orb.

Herblaw - Lvl 46:

Once you hit lvl 46, head to the Chaos Druid tower in Ardougne. Bring your lockpick and
enter the tower. On the first floor you'll be able to beat up on some Chaos Druids and get
a lot of herbs for Herblaw; a tough skill to lvl up. This is a very popular place though, so
try different hours.

Cooking - Lvl 65, 72, 75:

Thieving doesn't give a lot to Cooking until you are at the higher lvls. When you hit Lvl
65 Thieving you can thieve from the Spice Stall. You can use this to make Curry. Then,
at lvl 72, when thieving the chest in Ardougne’s castle, you'll receive an uncooked Shark.
you could either cook it if you're Lvl 80 Cooking, you can have someone else cook them,
or you can save them to cook them yourself. Gnomes, when you’re lvl 75, can give
Kingworms and Swamp Toads.

Fletching - Lvl 47:

Not much to Fletching from Thieving except a small room in Hemming will give you 5
steel Arrow Heads and 20gp. It takes a few minutes to recharge.

The Guide to Perfect Scamming

(Version 1.0,)
(Note: By using this guide you will not be allowed to scam people, it is against the Runescape
rules. This is only information to help you from being scammed.)

Chapter 1: Common Scamming Techniques-

One of the most common scams is that someone will offer you around 200k for your full
rune set. You display the full rune and he shows the 200k in the trade window. Once you
accept the trade, He will be sneaky and add in an extra item like black legs or something,
and you’ll think it’s cool and accept the trade, and then boom! You had sold your full rune set
for 20k and black legs.

You are now asking yourself, what had happened? Here is what happened. When he added on
the black legs, he also took away 180k while you were looking at the black legs, and you
didn’t realize it cause 20k still looks kind of like 200k if you don’t pay close attention.

If this ever happens to you report the scammer immediately.

Another Common Scam is that someone will be selling a rune 2 hander for 25k you will see
the rune 2 hander in the trade window, and he will see the 25k, you will accept the trade
and then he’ll decline it saying, “Oops, my bad” and then he will trade you again offering a
steel 2 hander or mith 2 hander, and then boom! You bought either a steel 2 hander or a
mith 2 hander for 25k.

Other scams are that other people will offer free gem cutting or free smithing and then
just take your items, and run. If he is a high level character than the odds are that he is
not a scammer, but if he has low levels, then stay away from him.

Another Major Concern is Price Scamming; many people will scam your items for low prices.
Especially with noobs, Check the forums for general prices before you sell something or ask
around 1st.

Another Major Scam is that someone will offer to sell a Runescape account for Runescape
gold coins or items. You will pay the player for the account, and he’ll take off with your
money. He will either give you nothing, or a username and password to a noob account he just
created.
Another scam is that someone will want you to drop stuff during trades, only trade in the
trade window.

Another Scam is that someone will tell you to drop something and hit alt+f4 to duplicate the
item. All this does is closes your web browser and logs you out. And he will get the item that
you drop.

Chapter 2: Team Scamming

Team scamming is very popular in Runescape. People will sell you an item for triple the
market Value. For example they will get you to easily buy a Rune War Hammer for 100k or
more. You probably wondering how do this work.

This is where the team comes into play. One guy is saying that he is trading a red mask for a
rune war hammer. Once you see that, then you will want to buy a rune war hammer. That’s
where the other guy comes into play. The other guy will be trying to sell a rune war hammer
for 100k. Although 100k is a lot for a war hammer, you will easily buy it to trade for the red
mask. But once you buy it for 100k, then the guy with the red mask no longer wants to trade
you.

Chapter 3: Overview

You had just learned the most common scamming techniques. There may be others but this
is all that I know of. Just keep a good eye out and always double check the trade windows,
especially the final trade window right before the trade goes down. If you had been a victim
of a scam report the player immediately.
