Wipe,
For photometric measurement the cells must be clean.
if necessary, with a clean dry cloth.
Spectroquant Turbidities in the lower phase (green organic phase) yield false-high readings.
Surfactants (nonionic) after
The color of the measurement solution remains stable for at least 60 min
the end of the reaction time stated above.
Cell Test
8. Analytical quality assurance
1. Method recommended before each measurement series
To check the photometric measurement system (test reagents, measurement
Nonionic surfactants (ethoxylates with 3 to 20 ether bridges) react with an indi-
device, handling) and the mode of working, a freshly prepared standard solution
cator (TBPE) to form a complex that is then extracted with dichloromethane. The
containing 4.00 mg/l Triton X-100 (application see the website) can be used.
green color of the organic phase is determined photometrically.
Sample-dependent interferences (matrix effects) can be determined by means
of standard addition.
2. Measuring range and number of determinations Additional notes see under www.qa-test-kits.com.

Pipette for a pipetting volume of 4.0 ml
6. Preparation
leave
The glassware must be free from surfactants! It is thus recommended to
it to stand filled with methanolic hydrochloric acid (make up 11 ml of
hydrochloric acid 25 % to 100 ml with methanol) for several hours and subse-
quently rinse it thoroughly with distilled water.
Analyze immediately after sampling.
The pH must be within the range 3 - 9.
Adjust, if necessary, with sodium hydroxide solution or sulfuric acid.
7. Procedure
Pretreated sample 4.0 ml Pipette into a reaction cell (20 - 25 C), close the
(20 - 25 C) cell tightly, and shake vigorously for 1 min.
