Installation

Run the Setup Program found on the CD to install the upload tool. After the installation is
finished a shortcut is created on the desktop named BosWebUploadTool .

Process for Download of Web Pages

The BosWebUploadTool is used to upload latest web pages to the timer.

BosWebUploadTool lists all available weld timers in the network list; by pressing the
button the list will be refreshed.

If necessary, add weld timers manually by pressing the button the weld timer IP
address must be inserted in the input field.

Select the desired weld timers by marking the check box.

Select a maximum of 2 available languages for upload by using the button; remove
selected languages by using the button.

Start uploading the web pages by pressing the button; the state of uploading is
displayed in Upload Result field; the upload result can be exported by pressing the
button.

How to change login information

- The file named logininfo.txt (part of CommonFiles.ZIP) is used to enter User Names,
Passwords and access rights; loginfo.txt is password protected (please use 007 as
password).

- The structure of the file is as follows :-

You can enter up to six usernames/password pairs in this file; additional you have to give read
or write access to each of them.

By default there are six users created with usernames xxx,yyy and zzz etc with the same
password as username.

To change usernames just replace the xxx , yyy and zzz in the file with appropriate User
Name and also change the password field.

If you want to alter the access of any User the just change the access by entering read or write
under the [UALx] key as done in the sample shown above.

This file has to be altered only by the administrator. Make sure that no one else has access to
this file; keep the password secret.

Manual way to download web pages to the Ethernet card ( not recommended)

- Make sure that the Anybus CC card has a valid IP Address.

- Go to Windows explorer and in the address bar enter the following :
ftp://aa.bb.cc.dd/ where aa.bb.cc.dd is the ip address of the card and press enter.
If the ftp access is password protected then just enter a valid username and password.

NOTE: In some cases the proxy settings of Internet explorer doesnt allow the ftp
site to be viewed. Disable the proxy setting from Internet explorer settings . Go to
the communications tab and then got to LAN settings. Uncheck the entry if proxy
is used.

Also note that there is one more property in the Advanced settings of internet
explorer called enable folder view for ftp sites. Make sure that it is checked.

- Now copy the extracted files along with the modified logininfo.txt file to this location
- You are now ready to use the pages from a web browser.

Display web pages in a web browser

To get access to the web pages please enter the weld timer IP address (IP address of the
Anybus CC card) in the address field of your web browser:

aa.bb.cc.dd (where aa.bb.cc.dd is the valid IP address)

After entering the IP address the Login web page will appear:

Enter user name and password, select the desired language and press button to log in.

After successful login you will be able to see the parameter webpage:

In left frame you will see various links to see different pages: for example Sequence
parameters, Stepper params, errors, last weld etc.

Some of these pages are read only :

Diagnosis , Info , Lastweld, Prewarning , Error, history protocols

Remaining pages have write access (depends on user rights). To send a value to the timer just
enter a new value in the text field and press button on the right side of this field - you
will get a error message if you enter values out of range.

In Sequence page values for a specific program number are displayed. If you want to see
values for a different program then enter a new program number in the Program No field at
the top of the page and press Get Data button.

In the same way in Stepper page you can configure different electrodes data.
To select a different electrode just give the number of electrode in the data field for Electrode
no and press Get Data button.

The scaling features are described step by step; they are provided on each page and will guide
you to do both Current and Force scaling .

For current scaling we have fixed the default program number to be used as 255 ( or the MAX
Prog number depending upon the value configured).
