When he was young he was sick a lot and missed many days of school
He was shy, but would use storytelling as a way to make new friends
He told Frog and Toad stories to his children and because they liked them
so much, he wrote them down and published them for other kids to read
Which one is Frog and which is Toad?

Shout - yell loudly

Wail - cry out because of sadness or pain
The boy wailed when he pinched his finger in the door
Gasp - to catch your breath or be out of breath
She will gasp for air after doing jumping jacks
Swamp - shallow wetlands where lots of trees, shrubs, and plants grow
Frog and Toad live near the swamp
Loyal - faithful and caring even when it is hard
A loyal friend is there for you even when you are sad or angry
