Preassessment and Findings:

At our home visits, we learned that several children are developing fine motor skills and social
skills. They need multiple opportunities to use fine motor muscles and learn how to interact
socially. All of the indoor self-selected activities, outdoor activities, gathering time, and small
focus groups will provide opportunities for the children to develop social skills. The children will
also be able to use fine motor skills as they build with the Legos and paint with the colored ice.

I asked Cannon if he had ever been ice-skating. He replied by telling me that he did when he
saw ghostbusters and he played games at Fat Cats.
When I asked Tanner if he had ever been ice-skating, he said that he had not.

1
When I asked McKenzie if she knew what ice skates were, she told me that there was a lot of ice
at her house, and it was slippery.
