Title : Foresters/Field Assistants/Surveyors

Reports to : GIS Coordinator REDD+
Project / Program : REDD+

Location : Islamabad
No of Positions : (4)
Contract : Short Term/ 6 Months
Work Week : 05 Days-40 Hours/Week
Duties and Responsibilities
Overall reporting to the team and co-team leaders;
Support the Forest Management & Monitoring Expert, NFI & Allometry Expert and GIS/Remote Sensing
& MRV Specialist in ground verification and field data collection;
Support in visual interpretation of sample plots using satellite imageries in coordination with GIS
Coordinator;
Provide input in finalization and refinement of the field data collection tools and sheets;
Frequent travel to the identified sample plots for necessary field data collection throughout the
country;
Coordinate with the provincial forest departments and collect necessary field data, ensuring accuracy
and reliability;
Punching and entry of the field data from hard form to digital form;
Coordinate and organize meetings with relevant stakeholders in the field for the key staff of the project;
Any other relevant task assigned by the supervisor;

Selection Criteria
Education, Experience & Working Knowledge
BSc Degree in Forestry from a recognized university
1- 2 year of relevant experience in forest surveying, forest inventory & practical knowledge of forest
survey tools is desirable
Skills & Attributes

Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills
Good written / spoken English & Urdu; other languages will be an advantage;
